Seen it three times so far. Gets better every time!

Got a preview screening in Providence by Hasbro on the 28th where Tyrese Gibson and Rachael Taylor (two of the actors) showed up and greeted us

Seeing as it made $152 in it's opening week, and th reviews from fans and non-fans alike have been very positive, I am going to chalk this down to a WIN for Michael Bay.

it rocked.THATS what I call a summer blockbuster. I went in knowing not much about the transformers other than they were fighting robots that transformed.
that megatron was one bad ass mofo.
I will buy that DVD when it comes out and surely theres a sequel.

I really enjoyed it. For a summer movie it was really fun. The crowd was really into it and cheering when the Autobots introduced themselves.

My only pet peeve was that the cars were only GM cars and into the cartoon they were various makes and models.

They have to licence the vehicles they can turn into. VW said a long time ago Hasbro were not allowed to use the Beetle anymore, hence Bumblebee is a Camaro.

my favorite scene still has to be that base attack that comes early on.
it was kinda scary how those rotor blades came to a dead stop and you knew that wasnt just a helicopter.

whatever transformer that base attacking robot was he was pretty cool. he had that machine gun and some kind of shockwave weapon.

the effect was cool, it reminded me of being in the huge generating wave pool at disney world.

anyways it seems alot of people who are into the transformers pick favorite ones and all that, I wonder if anyone was mad that the film kills off some of them quite possibly their favorites and wont be seeing them again.

maybe it would be like another director than lucas say killing off r2d2 if he did a version of star wars.

Yes, but they'll be back. They can't make Transformers 2 without featuring Megatron (hopefully redesigned to look a little bit more like Megatron rather than a rock lord).

Still, would be cool to see Wheeljack, Prowl, Mirage, Cliffjumper and Sunstreaker in the next film...

just as a caveat the film hasn't been released in the UK yet, I'm not sure about the rest of Europe. Could the title of thread contain a warning re: spoliers
