I'm really sorry to see the old bastard go. Before his time.

I hope they give his coffin a Factory Records catalogue number.

And on a separate but related issue, I hope the next time someone famous dies, we get a more imaginative thread title than <insert name here> RIP.

Thats real nice isnt it.

I hope your death is a slow and f*** painful one.

There is only one word for you - c***

What else would you rather I had written?

Very sad news.
It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.

Well that's nice isn't it. I'm just trying to save the world from the curse of terminally dull RIP thread titles, and I get a load of vile abuse.
What else would you rather I had written?
With a guy who lived a life as varied as he did, there's plenty of potential:

So He Goes
24 Hour Party Person Pops Out
Heaven Has A New Catalogue Number: FAC 512

And that's just off the top of my head.

Get an imagination. And grow up.

R.I.P. is quite appropiate for a death thread, seems rather tacky to try and jazz up the thread title.
she's a little goer.

Tony Wilson deserved so much more than a mundane identikit thread title into which no effort was put whatsoever.

It comes as no surprise at all that "RIP Yada Yada" is what you personally prefer, since you're about as interesting as scabies.

Tony was such a big part of North West England, it won't be the same without him.

I loved Tony Wilson, in a completely non-sexual way.

I do hope indeed that his coffin is designed by Peter Saville (and I hope it's not a half-arsed New Order Waiting For The Sirens' Call job) and gets a FAC number. If there's anything that could make him laugh wherever he is now, that would be about it.

One of the biggest music moguls and one of the best, he will be missed. :cry:
Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009
