And I also like older, well established artists, because if I listened to a newcomer, how could I know that he/she is doing it well in the future? Some artist who has just released the first album, might be just forgotten and disappeared a few years later on. So, PSB have always had the quality as I rate it. I just try not to think about it too much when people make negative comments about PSB.
So if one followed that rather strange logic, what bands or artists would you have listened to in the late eighties? Not PSB for sure, because your enjoyment of Actually, Introspective et al would have been ruined by not knowing what kind of music PSB would be doing in 1999.

I believe Riikka only got hooked on PSB in the recent past, to prove her own point... In the 80s she must've been dedicated to The Beatles and Elvis Presley

Sort of like Weird Al only appealing to other weirdos then?
no more than nerds, now us fans of weird al are white and nerdy

I know my logic has that strange point. But no, I don't think I would have listened to the Beatles or Elvis Presley in the 80's. That time, I didn't care so much if an artist was well established, but nevertheless, those that I listened to, were rather well established though. It's not that straightforward. I just feel that new artists of today are even more produced than those of the 80's. Unfortunately, no one introduced PSB to me then. I knew NKOTB though and somehow felt it's just a bit of a production...
