Easy: I bought every single album and single they released, all of them in multiple formats. I visited about 9 of their concerts, I bought nearly all VHS-releases and all tour video's on DVD and I bought nearly every single and album where PSB collaborated on. Besides this, I e-mail Dutch media as soon as I read incorrect information about PSB and I introduce many people to PSB music. - This is why I can call myself a fan.

Yet you want more, they have gave so much over the last year, Disco 4 may flop as you say but at the end of the day, they are a pop institution: they don't need chart placings!

Where did you read I want more? It would be perfectly fine with me if PSB had decided to take a well-deserved break and not to release anything in 2007. I've always pointed out their high productivity to fans who complained about new albums taking too long, etc.

I also didn't talk about chart placings; I hope Disco 4 will flop. A (lower) chart placing is only one visible aspect of a flop, sales figures are a more important one.

I agree with you Integral should have been made a single, a missed opportunity best describes it, also when talking about "flops" chart placing is a great deciding factor in determining whether or not it will be a great hit or a tragic flop, for example an album entering the chart @ No.54 can very much decide whether or not it will sell over 100,000 copies (UK) Therefore chart placing is very important...

dVTB, I wasn't referring to you at all. This is merely just my own comments. As I'm a new fan, I welcome almost everything from PSB. Unless it's really rubbish - and I can't see how PSB music or their products could be rubbish, as their name almost equals "quality".

Whether or not Disco 4 will flop... Is that really so important? When it's likely that it will not top the charts anywhere, does it really matter how low it will appear? Not to me, at least. What is more important than chart placings is the possibility for people to buy the music. And I've never judged music that much for the chart positions. It's my own personal "chart" that is more important to me. And what is great about PSB is that they are still active and not repeating themselves, as many artists of their age do!

Dammit - I wish I was that creative myself!

That's the thanks they get for 20+ years of constantly surprising us, doing things differently, releasing innovative product that has never followed the flock, staging fantastic (expensive) stage productions and most importantly writing and recording wonderful music that makes us all happy.

You're right, they don't owe us anything. Likewise, we don't owe them anything. If they chose to release a product we do not like, we are not obligated to buy it.

This is a pretty pointless debate, to be honest. Disco 4 will obviously flop - but it would have done so regardless of the tracklisting. You only have to look at the performance of Disco 3, which was pretty much unanimously praised here, for evidence.

To be an album for fans, Disco 3 went well on chart (#36 in UK and #188 in US). I don't think that Disco 4 will can make it better and for sure it will not have a judgment like this on wikipedia:

Despite charting relatively low on UK and US charts, sales wise the album was more successful than Disco 2, and was likely an attempt to recreate the success of the original Disco.

Disco 4 has the potential to sell to people that wouldn't generally buy PSB material.
