A different view is one thing, but to insult Neil and to saying like he is a hippocrite for not running to Russia after the news of Dainton's death. That is not right.

Though I can't say that I agree with absolutely everything you said, but I support you as you can see all sides of Mr. Tennant, not only very good.

I see , not many people here are able to do this.
You make the idol when he is just a man, who is talented.

He is not angel, people, just accept this.

by the way, I'm abslolutely sure that PSB would refuse Moscow show any way, poor Dainton is not the reason. Without advertising and promotion - it was bad idea at the very beginning. They are too clever to not understand this.

I think it's not right to explain that cancellation by Dainton death.
They are touring succesfully for these days.

This topic was about this article from The Independent, not about why Neil had not gone to Russia with the news of Dainton's death or why they are postponing the gig in Russia. Its not cancelled, its postponed, read what was said on the OS.

The Moscow concert planned for November 7th did not go on sale at the beginning of this week as planned because of the tragic accident there. We are currently in discussion with the promoters about when this concert will take place.
Chris Lowe would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of the British Consulate in Moscow for their sympathetic and invaluable help over the last week.

Btw, doesn't the OS say that Moscow (maybe) should be on Dec 2nd? Do you people ever go there before ranting on here?

Yes, yesterday in the evening they have hung up this strange information on their site. They tease us, don't they? This is disrespect to us, fans, to hang up not confirmed information. Thank you, PSB, for November, 7th!!!!
Living on their small island, they do not realize how big is Russia, and that the real fans gathered for that concert from all our immense country. Some guys, wishing to get on the concert, have been compelled to take holiday for some days to arrive to Moscow, to solve the problem with habitation. Moreover, they have already taken tickets for transport which for some reasons are not a subject to return. What have they to do now?! Thank God, that Bryan Ferry comes during the same time there. But he will not replace PSB. And now, posting this not clear date, they scoff at us again! Many of us haven't already got the desire to go somewhere in general. If the December concert will take place, it will be attended mostly by occasional people, not fans.

But, Lena, don't you see that both, Neil and Chris, do what they can? They don't wish any fan to lose their money, their jobs, or anything! It's all been a sad accident. Of course they are not saints, as somebody post earlier, but, know what? What they do in their private lifes, aside from the PSB, shouldn't care much to us. We have our own lifes to care about. And they have, very kindly, apologiced for this cancellation on the OS. What else can they do? If they canceled all the remaining dates, everybody would be complaining. If they don't, some people say they don't have a heart. Wow... I wouldn't like to be under their skin, now.

And let me remember you that didn't they tour Russia with a similar concept to the Somewhere residency in 1998? They didn't do that anywhere else in the world, and that shows you they don't hate Russia or their citizens, or whatever. Furthermore, think it was yesterday that somebody post here an interview with Neil, back in 98, where he explains they lost money with that tour, but they did it because they loved touring Russia.

Don't do a drama of all this, bad things happen all the time. And believe me, one concert cancelation isn't the worst that could happen to you.

I resisted to post anything up until now, but I think your response is exactly right and thoughtfully put.
