England couldn’t win Euro 2008 for sure, if they meet Germany or Italy they lost 100%.
Because Germany is much more stronger that England. Maybe we lost, but we are still the best in basketball, ice hockey, volleyball, tennis, swimming, ski, figure skating and etc…
We let some small countries like England or Israel feel so cool in few games.
Tears for Fears sang “Everybody wants to rule the world”. So it’s truth, if country can’t be proud of territory or great history, army or independence, let them feel a little cool in sport sometimes.
We will win one day but our victory will be much more important than Euro 2008, trust me.
If we couldn’t liberate all Europe in 1941-1945 Europe would speak german now.

How about this guy is a complete loser and is obviously racist and proud of it. Apparently countries should win judged on their size which means at the next world cup I am looking out for India and China!!!!!
They even liberated Europe in WW2 apparently! Nothing to do with the UK or USA etc.

take the book and read, but you should take not ameriacan book but independent edition where you can read about WW2.

I hope Croatia will show their best football in England.

it must really irk you that Russias solo victory in WWII also involved the liberation of those ghastly Jews (at least those that survived)

Do you know that Polish citizens betrayed polish jews and told germans where thet hide and etc... I've just read the book about it.
You don;t know many facts about that war.
You gouverment tells you things that can't hurt your brains.
Comfortable information that you used to get without stress.

You're really dominating the whole world of sport aren't you?
Tennis for example - you have a few good women but only two men in the ATP top 20.
Swimming - America, Australia, Canada etc etc are the top nations here. Basketball - Russia v the cream of the NBA. Good luck!
Skiing - have you heard of Switzerland, France, Norway, Italy etc etc etc?
You've always been a strong sporting nation but have only ever really been the best in sports where young kids were forced to train under a ruthless regime ie gymnastics. If that's what it takes to succeed you can keep it.

You need to wake up and smell the vodka mate.

Andy you let "small nations" like England and Israel feel cool sometimes by letting them win do you? What happened on Saturday then? So cool that you've pretty much failed to qualify.

You talk the biggest load of racist nationalistic trollope I have ever heard and I suggest you stop before you need to find somewhere else to offend its members. Actually - why don't you just bog off and find somewhere else anyway - because there is no place for it here.

How about Stalin's non-agression pact with Hitler in which they essentially divided Poland between them, and The Soviet Union was given the go-ahead to invade the Baltic countries? The fact of the matter is that the Soviet Union didn't enter the war until they were attacked by Hitler. As for the Russian "liberation", I think most of the countries that were "liberated" by the Russians would have preferred the British and Americans who allowed them to elect their own governments.

Did the book you that you read also tell you about the killing and rape of thousands of German's during the so called "Liberation". There were a few days after the fall of Germany when the Russians had the right to do whatever they wanted, and they went from town to town doing the most terrible things you could imagine. Thousands of German civilians killed themselves before they had the chance and there were many people throwing themselves into rivers and off buildings etc.
Fine, we all know what the German soldiers did, especially in Russia but these revenge attacks on civilians cannot be called a liberation can they.
Of course it was very different in the west of Germany, but of course there were some bad things done by the soldiers there too.
Like Gareth said you are not even the best at the sports you said! But you are a big country so why do you not win everything? Is that how sport works? Erm....

I have to agree with your second point, I'm very sad to not live in a wonderful country where there is a relatively free press, open democracy where freedom of speech and the right thereof is protected by non corrupt politicians and all can live as equals. We might start to explain that russian soldiers were executed by their own commanders for immoral behaviour, not that it didn't happen at all, but the rumours about it were pretty much exaggerated.
The same as before NATO invasion in Yugoslavia, it was claimed there existed mass graves of 100 000 Albanians killed by Serbs. After the invasion in graves were found 200 bodies, killed not before the invasion, but after it, for a note. And in official documents of NATO there is still that lie about mass graves of thousands of people. But who cares?

People are told Putin killed 20 journalists, okey. Who would doubt?
The majority of russians support regime and don't buy anti-Putin newspapers which makes them bankrupt? No. It is Putin strangling the free press.
Serbs -bad guys.Russians bad guys. Fullstop. If western magazine would write about Russia it would post a pic of a huge rubbish heap and gloomy faces, because that is what their readers want to buy.

But we are already used to such attitude, something different would be a great surprise.

It seems you don't know the difference between "russophobic" and "realistic".
