The welcome return of West End Girls!

#1 Post by Jonathan »

According to Popjustice, West End Girl have two singles out soon - covers of "What have I done to deserve this?" and "Little Black Dress"!

The first single will be out in Feb/March and the second will precede their second album - Shoplifters - later in the year.

They are ok, but still the fact of them being girls is just not the same, doing covers of a band of two guys.

I find it interesting that "There is some other stuff about the album, too, involving songs contributed by other people, but we have been told to keep it secret". I wonder if this means another exclusive Tennant/Lowe track?

Plus it would also mean it technically wasn't a cover but the official relase and anything after it a cover.

So are they allowed to do that? I guess so if that is what they did already.

I've received this news from their mangment and I think it's really a great news, above all the so long waited release of A Little Black Dress, even if without the Neil's voice. Come On Girls!

They're not called Neil and Chris either.

Would be cool if afterwards they stick the original full length version on the site.
