At least Premiership clubs are daft enough to pay inflated transfer fees. Hopefully, we can use the money wisely.

Is any player worth his transfer fee?

He's a far better player than the crock of shite, Chimbonda. Who we will no doubt recoup a similar anmount for when some idiotic club wants him.

Probably time to lump a huge sum on wise being Newcastle manager by August. I'd say Newcastle has fast become a circus but i wouldn't want to upset Billy Smart.

It seems that Beckham will be left out of the England squad later today. Well done, Fabio. All this talk about 'giving' him his 100th cap sums up what is wrong with English football. Yes, he was a good player and gave his all for England but he's currently playing in a sub-standard competition and he won't be around for the next World Cup. Selecting him for a token 100th cap would send out completely the wrong message for the future. Titus Bramble for England captain.

Is that a shot at the MLS? I think Toronto FC would whip Team England! Well of course not, but soccer's substandard to hockey anyways, so this discussion is irrelevant! We must discuss the Canadiens chances of bringing home a 25th Stanley Cup on their hundredth anniversary next year!

England fans will be demanding that Lineker returns to sit on the bench and come on when they get a penalty, so he can get the record.

How anyone can expect to play for England when they aren't even playing any games, is comical. Then again, he has been on the beach doing keepy ups. So he must be ready to play international games.

Beckham needs to find a proper club, play all the time and lose the baggage that comes with him.
