Grand National

#1 Post by bobblekat »

There is a horse called Fundamentalist running in tomorrow's Grand National. Needless to say I just had to put a few quid on it, even though its odds are 66/1, but hey ho!

I went fishing with Salvador Dali; he used a dotted line.

£25 Win - Butlers Cabin
£25 Win - Hedgehunter
£5 e/w - Hedgehunter
£5 Win - Point Barrow
£5 to be placed - Fundamentalist.

Only had 1 winner in the national in the past 15 years, so probably wasting my time but it's all good fun.

Hedgehunter is too old and carrying too much weight to be a serious contender. IMO of course ;)

Hedgehunter was looking very good until f****** camel D'Argent nearly took it out. The rest were garbage.

I can't, the pages are already stuck together. Had a decent day on the footy at least. A treble up of homes and 3 draws in a yankee. Would have been a lot better if Swansea weren't crap.

I had £10 on Sunderland to beat Fulham 2-1 @ 11/1. All was going well until we scored a 3rd!!

The amount of late goals that balls up footy bets is boll*cks. At least your lot are safe though. 2 away wins on the trot and that was after no away wins all season.

Well, Fundamentalist fell early on in the race... hey ho.
But I wasn't stupid - had also put a bet on Comply or Die at 10/1 :D

I have now won two years in a row on the Grand National  woohooo!

My main choice Comply or Die came in for me, and the nibble on Snowy Morning each way paid off too :D

I had King Johns Cabin and Bewleys Berry (2nd and 5th) in the mix too, only backed them to win unfortunately, but I ended the day 66 quid up, so all's well that ends well ;)
