There were about 100 Poles in my local watching that game and, though I'm not familiar with their language, I'm guessing their chants about Podolski weren't too complimentary...

Fantastic game last night. The Dutch, as ever, are a delight to watch and, as long as they don't press the self-destruct button (which they seem to do to their cost in most big tournaments), they have a great chance of winning Euro 2008. Despite last night's result, I expect Italy to go through as well. Romania and France were just woeful.
Passion, love, sex, money, violence, religion, injustice and death. More on that story later.

Quite a bit of profit on the Euro's so far. For once, it's quite predictable.

How boring are Russia? Spain have been excellent but they look so open, yet Russia don't commit anymore than 2 or 3 players forward. Maybe they have sacrificed this game but a formation of 5-5-0 wont win you many games.

Benitez should break the bank to get Villa. He and Torres looked erm, quite close, and together they'd bring the title back to Anfield. Hi Parkol!

I haven't seen the game Spain-Russia, but of course Spain is much more stronger.
It's obvious.
the fact that there are many players from Moscow clubs, that's why we lost- one of the reasons. Russia is big nad we have to invite players from different regions.
And... Moscow has 7 clubs in Premiere league, Hidding took players who let him to take, if you understand. UEFA Cup won different players: Deinsov, Arshavin, Malafeev, Pogrebnyak - notice, that no one played there.

I am afraid we will lose again.

Not really.

How come Sweden still have the same players that they had years ago?

f*** this sh*t. I'd sooner watch Baldrick and his wide awake jumpers, digging up 16th century pottery.

We will loose maybe, but we won GOLD in Canada playing incredible ice hockey, it's much more important for me than Football, Volleyball and basketball.

We won Canada in Canada when ice hockey 100 years.

In spite of all I wish the strongest team will win.

You really are a dick, and youre not even from Moscow!

All the time you go over and over about how Zenith are the best thing since sliced bread etc. etc. etc. then Russia lose, you go on about how Russia are the best at this and that and then even claim you don't even like football!!

You have the mental age of a 5 year old!!

Harry Redknapp yapping on about how England would be one of the favourites if they were here. Wayne Rooney's wedding apparently the biggest story in the world at the moment. Thank God for the Spanish.

I would only say that when you see how poor some of the teams are then you can understand where he is coming from. I don't think they would have won it but they would have got through the first round I'm sure. It was a harder qualifying group than a lot of the rest but they should have qualified. They deserved to lose against Croatia but other results should have been different.

At least watching it is less stressful.

I would like Holland and Spain to win but I still think France or Italy could do it even after their first games.

England would have been one of the favourites. When aren't they? They didn't qualify because over those 2 years they weren't good enough. Although they would have qualified if they didn't have a penis in charge.

I wish the moronic comeentators would get over England not being there though. You can argue all day about the quality that makes up some of the groups. It doesn't matter. The 16 there got through because they deserved to.

Having seen everyone play, i have to say it's the worst quality i have ever seen make up a championship. There are only 2 or 3 exciting sides and a further 3 or 4 good sides. Half the teams are shite.
