I love the way that tactical genius McClaren is being employed by the BBC for the duration of the tournament. That's your licence fee, folks!

I always thought he was a fanny. Would having a fanny in charge instead of a penis have made any difference? I think they would be in the same position. 8)

It wouldn't be a normal day in Britain without seeing your licence fee spunked up the wall one way or another.

How long before the cheating Turks want the game abandoned?

To be fair, it should be abandoned. You're a referee, aren't you, Dave?

Not anymore. Started to play again.

You're right though, it should have been abandoned or at least temporarily suspended. I've taken Turkey to win as well. They are a far better side. It's great entertainment though.

What are the odds on a mass brawl?

Treble your money, try to get rich...

Thought they deserved to win in fairness. A mass brawl would be great entertainment.

I haven't seen a good brawl since the Germany v Argentina World Cup match. Even then, it wasn't as good as some I've seen.

I remember the fantastically spiteful and incredibly entertaining Holland vs. Portugal from the last world cup. A full scale brawl of sorts would be welcomed at some stage during this tournament though.

I think this time, the policy of giving a wildcard to the hosts has back-fired spectacularly. At this rate, Switzerland and Austria will be the first to be eliminated.
