The best games were games with Holland, they deserve to be champions.
Russia won Greece but I am afraid we had to play better, because Sweden will be stronger.

Nobody deserves to be champions because of 2 games.

Last night's game was a classic. The so called best keeper in the world who cannot catch a high ball. Apart from the Dutch and Italians, has anyone got a decent keeper?

That result for Turkey is a platform to take them all the way. They are a good side but poor at the back. No reason why they cannot out score anyone.

Thank god the Greasy Greeks are out though. Watching them was like watching Austria v West Germany from 1982.

Foe me, the best tournament since the 1990 World Cup.

Fair play to Turkey. That's twice they've come from behind to win games they looked dead and buried in, and I think Dave's right - attack definitely looks like the best form of defence for them. Really looking forward to their quarter-final with Croatia now, should be a classic.

I was dissappointed with the Austrian quality of passing/crossing. I'm sure my local church team could perform better pmslol

Croatia were the only team to really play in their group. Ther Germans seen to have weak links all over but while they still have Frings, Ballack and Klose, they have a decent chance. Poland and Austria were just piss poor. Nice profit made on both games being under 2.5 goals though.

For those who don`t know the joke:

The Holland coach Marco van Basten announces his team that they are about to play a game against Romania, and allows them to decide who is going to participate. Almost no one of the players is willing to do that, except Van der Sar who lets the boys go to a bar as he is going to play the match alone. Everyone agrees happily. While they are at the bar, they turn on the TV and see the score: 1- 0 to Holland, goal by van der Sar at minute 5! Having seen this, they turn off the TV and go on with the fun and drinking… at the end of the match, they turn on the TV again and…: “Romania 1 – Holland 1, goal by Mutu at minute 90” . Everyone hurries back to the stadium and find there a desperate van der Sar, who sadly tells them: “Sorry boys, I`ve been eliminated at minute 6” :D

Great joke, Gonna tell my 7 year old this one. Let's see if he gets it.

Van Basten is given all the star players a day of even Van der Sar BTW. BUT Robben and van Persie will play. So is Klaas jan Huntelaar. Allthough perhaps Italy and France thinks he's gonna give it away, I don't believe so. It's just the match from saturday is so mmuch more important.

Having seen Barcelona a fair few times last season, i said to the missus that she can wave goodbye to any chance of winning the sweepstake with France because Abidal was playing. What a crock of shite this guy is. I don't know how they get games for such big teams.

Luca Toni is crap as well.

Fratelli d'Italia,
l'Italia s'è desta,
dell'elmo di Scipio
s'è cinta la testa.
Dov'è la Vittoria?
Le porga la chioma,
che schiava di Roma
Iddio la creò.
CORO:
Stringiamci a coorte,
siam pronti alla morte.
Siam pronti alla morte,
l'Italia chiamò.
Stringiamci a coorte,
siam pronti alla morte.
Siam pronti alla morte,
l'Italia chiamò!

Noi siamo da secoli
calpesti, derisi,
perché non siam popolo,
perché siam divisi.
Raccolgaci un'unica
bandiera, una speme:
di fonderci insieme
già l'ora suonò.
CORO
Uniamoci, amiamoci,
l'unione e l'amore
rivelano ai popoli
le vie del Signore.
Giuriamo far libero
il suolo natio:
uniti, per Dio,
chi vincer ci può?
CORO
Dall'Alpi a Sicilia
Dovunque è Legnano,
Ogn'uom di Ferruccio
Ha il core, ha la mano,
I bimbi d'Italia
Si chiaman Balilla,
Il suon d'ogni squilla
I Vespri suonò.
CORO
Son giunchi che piegano
Le spade vendute:
Già l'Aquila d'Austria
Le penne ha perdute.
Il sangue d'Italia,
Il sangue Polacco,
Bevé, col cosacco,
Ma il cor le bruciò.
CORO

Just because he had a good season for Bayern, everyone thinks he's top class. He's shite. He can't run, can't jump and slashes at everything. Just a big lump.

Apart from Toni, Italy have stepped it up a few gears but they will really miss Guttuso. What a great little player.

Has Cassano sh*t himself? Whats with the facial expressions?
