Top Gear
I use to watch Top Gear every now and then; it is an interesting show and I`m quite a fan of Jeremy Clarkson. I saw yesterday the episode with David Tennant as a guest, and this reminded me of PSB: was ever Chris Lowe invited at this show, as a guest star? If still not, I think that he should be. (Neil is out of the question; he doesn`t drive at all, as far as I know). But Chris would fit very well there IMO - testing a Porsche, maybe!

This season, they are actually getting guests on in pairs, to add more to the guests segments. The two then normally compete against each other.
Oh, and even if Chris was on there (with or without Neil) he would be driving the 'reasonably priced' car rather than a Porsche or something. That's the whole point of it- they are driving something normal rather than a car they may normally choose.
I do think it's highly unlikely they'd get on there tho.

I was trying to imagine Chris and Neil competing against each other on Top Gear, but then I remembered that Neil doesn't have a drivers licence - does anyone know if this is still the case?BecciJ wrote:This season, they are actually getting guests on in pairs, to add more to the guests segments. Neil said in the latest Literally that he has got some kind of a driving lisence. But he was only having driving lessons at the time. Don´t know the current situation. Maybe he should inform us.
And Chris is a member of Greenpeace.

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Hmmm, had no idea that Clarkson really is a "divisive figure"! I admit that I only know the guy from Top Gear - and I don`t watch the show on a regular basis... but I enjoyed it every time. Well, I suppose that sometimes what he says can be really offensive towards you Brits, while the same remarks don`t really mean much to me - I can only enjoy the accent and pay attention to the way he builds the phrases. (I never stop learning English!)
Sorry that I made Steve and Undertaker furious; but at the same time they had the opportunity to show publicly their feelings for JC

Especially for being such a two faced tw@t !
On one feature on one of his DVDs, he crashed a Alpine A610 into a wall on purpose with the intention of writing it off just because it was French .....
What he didn't say was that in a poll he had done the year before, was that the A610 was one of his favourite cars and that he'd love to have one.
The real sick thing about what he did was that the car was one of only a handful left, and had been kept pristine by the previous owner, who had no idea that the guy he sold it to was a researcher for JC.
It's about time someone knocked him down a peg or two. I suspect one day he will get physically assaulted by someone and maybe that will teach him for being an opinionated, self satisfied, smug, big headed idiot.
I lost respect for him years and years ago - probably about the time he started bad-mouthing his home town (Doncaster, my home town too) and publically ridiculing Doncaster Rovers football club.
I'd say the final straw was broken already, but if something else were needed then his relatively recent abuse of his position as a columnist in the Sun to encourage people to post heavy items to the freepost address of a charity (a criminal offence) was the point where I actually wanted to hit the t*sser repeatedly.
