well, regardles of what she was told ,she now knows the official chinese government quote about the incident.....
"the national interest requires that the girl should have good looks"
ouch. that girl is going to grow up with severe low self esteem. her own countrys government essencially said your too ugly for the world to see.
thing is, I wouldnt have thought anything of her looks if she was singing and not the lipsinger and there wasnt all this drama. she also looked cute to me anyways.

That is so stupid for them to choose what they feel is a cuter kid and use someone else's voice. What a stupid and unfair thing to do. And Phelps is going to have how many more gold medals? How many times do the swimmers compete? It seems like everyday they are competing. By the time its over he will have a total of 20 gold medals.

It's interesting how in this generation, our (Australian) girls seem to do so much better then the guys.
I wonder why.
Just want to say something about boycotts. In ancient Greece the Olympic games were
deliberately intended to bring together cities that were in conflict. Sometimes wars were
ended by this.
So while I agree with using boycotts sometimes, the Olympics is the one event that
should never be boycotted. It shows ignorance of the whole tradition and ideals of
the games.
If you have Olympic boycotts you could never have stories like
Jesse Owens

Usain Bolt was quite simply amazing in that 100m final. He CRUSHED the field and set a new world record without even going all out. How fast can this guy potentially go??

Yes, indeed he did. I wonder what time he could have set in the 100m if he had given it his all. That 200m win was unbelievable, he was quite simply on a another planet than the rest of the field. That Michael Johnson record was considered probably the hardest athletics record to beat. Mind you, he did only JUST beat it, but unlike th 100m race, there's no doubt that he ran the 200m with the explicit goal of setting a new world record.Your Funny Uncle wrote:Well he went all out in the 200m...
