Fox news is laregly seen as a joke in Britain. It's a kind of self-parody of itself and watched by people for a laugh. It seems that the target audience are people who are naive or uneducated and are blind to the tricks and emotive technques they use to attempt to construct a story.

There's a few good documentary's out there, you might find some on youtube, featuring ex-employees, who reveal the underhand tricks they use and the bullying tactics.

Imagine a version of The Daily Mai/Expressl magnified ten times and then transfer it to television and you'll know what I'm talking about.

The BBC is seen as slightly left leaning as is ITV to some extent, but ITV again is tabloid fodder for the proles.

The US may not be the greatest country on earth, but they are the closest to that title. When there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you're gonna call? THE U-S-A! Every country has fair its share of people who think their country is the greatest country in the world and that everyone else is just plain wrong. Do you think the Chinese, French, British, Australians or whoever don't think their country is the best too? You are seeing things from a purely American point of view.

Canada has a population around a tenth of that of the USA. It is hardly any surprise that their economy is therefore not as large and that they are a smaller player on the global stage. I am sure plenty of Canadians believe Canada is the greatest country in the world.

For now the USA has the world's largest economy and so the rest of the world pays attention to its politics, economics and wars. Let's see what happens when China is number one in a few years' time. Think the US won't be usurped by China? Just think about how powerful Britain used to be. You only get to be imperial for a relatively short time.
