That we share a common ancestor species with apes has now been proven beyond all reasonable doubt. There is more genetic difference between a horse and a donkey than between a human and a chimpanzee.
I always find it funny when extreme religious types try to deny the bits of science that they don't like while happily taking medicine, driving cars, using the net and taking advantage of the myriad other advances that the scientific method has brought them...

It's even funnier when they deny what we can now prove, yet believe fervently in what are essentially fairy tales. The clincher for me is the clever way they make a virtue of believing in something that any rational mind would dismiss out of hand. They call it "faith."

I always thought of them more as legends than fairy tales: Stories like that of King Arthur and Robin Hood that may have some vague basis in historical fact but are essentially made up...

ugh,you guys had to go there.come on now. alot of the problem is the failure of science to explain things properly to the masses.
time and time again I see people online just losing their marbles when someone mentions they arent sold on evolution. yet they are always a bit more calm when you tell them that in person and ask questions, because I know, and these supposed informed scientific minds know they are useless without the internet and wikipedia.
we are all just believing on someones say so. and thats because it isnt explained properly.yet they arent willing to take the time other than get angry. however I will say religious make it an issue when it doesnt have to be.
