Tina Turner was awesome!

Wednesday 4th March 2009 at the O2. Oh my God! She danced her socks off, sang like it still mattered and put together a live extravaganza that would take some beating. Hydraulics, pyros, film projection great backing band and dancers (and that was just in the bar before the show - only kidding). Toni Basil was responsible for the choreography I noticed. Have any other Community members seen Tina 'live'?

I thought she had retired from touring. Or was it a one-off show?

She is undertaking a special tour to celebrate 50 years in the business. I had to see her as I never forgave myself for not seeing her for only 5 pounds at university in the early 80's! More dates coming up at the O2. 7th 8th and 11th of March.

Two of the guys im coming down to Manchester with for the PSB gig went to see her at that show. He's been a fan since we were at school, not sure but i think thats the first he's seen her live and was worried he wasnt ever gonna. Said it was amazing.
