Why do you think they're the same person?
Why does it matter, anyway?

Well, Pulse and Tuff Enuff, having read the latest instalment, I come to this conclusion: Your arguments have crashed and burned. Now you both sound desperate.

Don't you have anything better to do than crawl through the Erasure thread? I thought you don't want to read about them but still care to enter a thread about them?

Great point that is. Here he is venting his anger at the forum when he see's the comments about Erasure. What makes him worse, it's a parody with Love etc in the background.

Pulse is not pretending he's not stephano and vice versa.

I like Erasure. I bought Total Pop! and would have bought the deluxe edition if I hadn't had to mortgage my house in order to do so. I just think that PSB are better, although I would say that about most pop artists apart from The Beatles and David Bowie.

You don't like the way Neil sings, their live performances, the new album, the last album.....

Don't you have anyhting to do than to troll through a thread on another bands' forum when you clearly don't seem to have much time for them? A few token comments elsewhere doesn't cut the mustard, I'm afraid. I see that Erasure-based posts are still making up the vast majority of your "input".

s t e p h a n o wrote:It's funny. I've been on a trip to see friends in the US for the last week and a bit, and everyone that I've brought up that I am a fan of PSB to has just short of gagged. They all understand the Erasure part because they seem to get the musicality of it, but PSB seems to be some sort of island that only hardcore PSB fans seem to be on. It's very interesting to see that when I step into this forum, it's the only place PSB seem to rule. Sure, they may sell a few more copies here and there (still relatively low sellers), but there seems to be a real aversion to them when it comes to art. Simply put, the island you're on has a pandemic of schizophrenia.
s t e p h a n o, it's rather strange how you always describe Erasure in terms of their 'art' and yet simultaneously criticise PSB for their media profile, which is to a great extent due to their engagement with art.

'Art' for Erasure is recording a video whilst sitting on the toilet or the infamous Union Street drawings which are clearly the work of a particularly disturbed six year-old.

And for the last time, you are *not* a fan of PSB. Announcing this to your friends whilst wearing your rhinestone leotard is what caused them to gag.
Firstly, if you believe PSB's have a media profile due to art rather than promotional money, then I've lost hope in you as well.

Secondly, I am a fan of PSB - it's unfortunate you don't have the mental capacity to grasp that there may be people on here that perfer other bands. Certainly, I will stand up for the bands I favour, all while still being a fan of PSB.

Mind you, it becomes difficult to "sound like a fan" when you are attacked constantly by the three or four regulars here. I must really get under your skin - very enjoyable to watch.

I know, I know, the truth hurts, doesn't it? If it didn't, you would have ignored my warranted defenses to your paranoid offenses long ago.
It's interesting that you deliberately misconstrued Patrick's observation that you weren't a fan by embellishing and distorting his point beyond all recognition so it now read, to you, that you can't prefer other bands to PSB. It's unfortunate that you don't have the mental capacity to read and intelligently debate Patrick's observation. However, it is much easier to create a straw man and attack that instead, so I understand why you went down that road.

Now, I'm a genuine fan of both bands, obviously I prefer PSB, but what I don't do is mindlessly critique Erasure just for the sake of it. The difference between me, a geniune Erasure fan and you, a disengenuous Pet Shop Boys fan, is that my praise and criticism of either band doesn't come at the expense of the other in such a hatefully insecure and vitriolic manner. I don't think you could say the same.

So do I have to blindly praise everything like you do so you'll consider me worth-while to post on this forum?

Fugitive1979 doesn't blindly praise everything. Whereas you and Pulse are like Pavlovian dogs on this subject, to be quite honest. Which is why new people such as myself can observe patterns of behavior before even entering these sort of conversations.

First, where did I praise Erasure on this forum? Second, I said it before and I say it again, I defend them when people try to put them down in a cruel way. Furthermore, even if I criticize something about PSB it doesn't have anything to do with my Erasure fandom. Also, if you're such an urgent observer as you proudly claim you also clearly see that as long as someone bashes Erasure on this forum, everything is cool and nobody comments that they're tired of reading about Erasure. The bashing continues frivolously untill someone reacts and defend them. Suddenly some people are not comfortable to see Erasure mentioned and accuse you of not being fullfiled as a PSB fan because (god forgive me) you are a Erasure fan and mention them otherwise than cruelly. Nonense.
