Re: Didn't see 'em coming!
It was the only place we could find for something to eat that was open!
Anyway, some updates:
Still no call from the police with the proper crime ref #.
HSBC - first cards to be cancelled, replacements in the post.
Smile - card cancelled, replacement in the post.
Bus pass - reported stolen, replacement ordered "but it can take a couple of weeks" (what?!). Found out yesterday and today just how much money using this saves me. (A LOT!!!!)
Rail pass - Need crime ref # before replacement can be ordered, just the log number isn't good enough.
Phone - Mum got me a cheap phone on Virgin. But it's not got any credit! However I phoned Orange, not expecting much as I am a lowly PAYG customer, but they blocked my number and phone and are sending me a replacement SIM. So I still have my old number! And apparently no credit has been used since it was stolen! (I'd put £20 on just that morning!)
Everything else is less important, there's only the library card that could cause a problem if someone used it (fines!). They could make nuisance calls to my mate Steve, but he'd just tell 'em to f*** off, or f*** with them by coming onto them if it's a bloke that calls.

Re: Didn't see 'em coming!
Sorry to hear about that, Firthy. On the way back from the show in Manchester at about midnight some young scallies made a beeline straight for me outside Piccadilly station, but then seemed to think better of it as soon as they realised I wasn't alone.
Prick up your ears.

Re: Didn't see 'em coming!
What a bad thing to happen to someone who just wants to have some fun. I was shocked when I read about this yesterday. Looks like your guarding angel wasn`t attentive for some moments, hehe. And then, when realized what happened, sent a little present to comfort you!
Now seriously, this actually wasn`t a question of bad luck - it could have happened to almost anyone. Too much scum on the face of the Earth.

Glad you are ok Firthy2002. As I am sure you know, things could have been much worse but that doesn't make you feel any less upset about it all. And don't blame yourself for not knowing where you were or taking an off the track route - this could've happened on nay main road. You never know the moment and you are never 100% safe. xxx
It's just my little tribute...

Re: Didn't see 'em coming!
I read your posts on Twitter, but didn't understand the full story til I found this thread...wow, I'm so sorry this happened to you. How awful.
Glad you're OK.
I'm a believer in karma. Those guys will get what's coming to them. For you, on the other hand, it was an encounter with Neil!

And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung

Yes, psb-freak would certainly take a beating for a couple of hours alone with Chris.territorygal wrote:I'm a believer in karma. Those guys will get what's coming to them. For you, on the other hand, it was an encounter with Neil!

They'd probably have to learn to read first though.Firthy2002 wrote:Everything else is less important, there's only the library card that could cause a problem if someone used it (fines!)

Sorry to read you were mugged after such a great night. Manchester is a dangerous place at night. Lived there for a bit and would never walk around on my own - taxi everywhere.

Got my crime ref # in the post this morning. Case is being closed however due to lack of evidence.
I wasn't expecting a major breakthrough, so I'm not surprised.
