Bad Lieutenant/New Order/Electronic/Joy Division gig
...or basically the Bernard Sumner show at Heaven last night.
Absolutely fantastic! first half was all Bad Lieutenant stuff from the new album, and then the show turned into Bernie's greatest hits.
all new versions of:
Crystal (NO)
Tighten Up (Electronic)
Out of Control (Chemical Bros. + Sumner) mixed into...
Temptation (NO)
Bizarre Love Triangle (NO - acoustic)
Transmission (JD)
Love will tear us apart (JD)
crowd was well into the bad lieutenant stuff at the start, which all sounded much better than I expected, but when they morphed into the bernard sumner band for the above listed songs the crowd went MENTAL. my wife and I had to move back to avoid getting squashed.
all you Bad Lieutenant nay sayers really missed out on this one!
if you're in Manchester, try to see the show tonight!!!!

Sounds cool
I really like the Bad Lieutenant album - sounds quite like Electronic which is a fine thing in my opinion.
It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.

Well, he is too busy with the past to notice what is going on these days anyway. Last thing I have read was that he called Moz a "t***". Wow, gorgeous! Sumner at least sticks to music ...StevePSB wrote:Hooky won't be pleased!![]()

Superb that we get to see them as warm up for the Boys' in December!
That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

Do you think they will actually be a "warm up" or rather slotted in somewhere as special guests

I very nearly went to the Brighton gig, but couldn't... am peed off now I didn't go - however seeing them at the O2 should be good, and praying Bernie will play some "oldies".... pretty please!!!
I went fishing with Salvador Dali; he used a dotted line.

Unfortunately it looks like their New York concert has been canceled.
