Try to say this in any Erasure forum:)FirthofForth wrote:I'm listening to the new Mimo (Andy Bell) tracks on myspace for the first time. Once again, Andy Bell has WAY better production then Erasure. To me, Vince is no keyboard wizzard, he is a LIABILITY.

I don't think Vince is a liabilty, he just needs to get his head out his arse and get with the times. Too much plinkity plonking it through the last 10 years. It's boring. I hope he gets a grip for the next album and it's not another regurgitating set of records.
Fans have left in their droves. Their last two Ep's sold only a few thousand between them. You can get the fans back if you deliver something decent. A-Ha can tell you that but listeners aren't stupid. They have left in droves because there are too many songs not up to scratch.
Back in 1994, they thought they could release any old toss and get away with it. It backfired big time. It's not another pop at Erasure because PSB did exactly the same. They had a fair few years where they thought half hearted records were good enough. The difference is that PSB had the ability, intelligence and fresh idea's to bounce back, probably starting with Miracles.

Are you saying 1994's I Say x 3 and 1995's Erasure and 1997's Cowboy were old toss? I think not. I think some of their best.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

I've got those records and I like them all. After Cowboy though, the only decent album is Nightbird.FirthofForth wrote:Are you saying 1994's I Say x 3 and 1995's Erasure and 1997's Cowboy were old toss? I think not. I think some of their best.
