New Song with "slight" PSB influence

#1 Post by nathanjay »

Hello,

You may remember me from such works as The Pet Shop Boys Blocked Me On Twitter, and some other ones.

This is my new song

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tGh8Fc2kFFw&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tGh8Fc2kFFw&hl=en_GB&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>[/youtube]

If you like it a lot, you can buy it here

I hope you enjoy it

Video is better than the Did You See Me Coming? video, and the song is great. I could use better vocal clarity though. Maybe not get rid of vocorder (or whatever) completely, just less of it.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

lol - singing is really not my strong point - without the maximum amount of auto-tuning and processing/distortion, I sound really bad - I frequently miss notes/invent notes/drift.

The only reason I didn't ask a proper singer to do it is that I first imagined it as a PSB song, and I don't know anyone else who can do a Neil-esque voice. (Apart from Neil, and I'm not sure he'd be up for a bit of session work)

I figured this was the situation, so quite forgivable. I'm glad you posted your new track right when Super Virgin is posting his stuff. We need a counterbalance to it.

What would Super Virgin sound like with max Autotune? I'm thinking Cheryl Tweedy/Cole.
