Re: Wikileaks Wants to Change World History....
The problem with this forum, that if you write that you love women you would call homophobic. If you say that you do not like the policies of Israel, thou shalt be called an anti-Semite. If you say that for the Russian national team should play Russian - thou shalt be called racist.
That the Israeli services cooperate with the United States has long been known. U.S. tries to find a reason to attack Iran - is obvious. If the Muslim world will create a union, the same as Europe, there will be a potent threat to the U.S., but Iran's nuclear weapons - an excuse to pump more oil.

Re: Wikileaks Wants to Change World History....
It is interesting watching what is happening.
The US government (I should think) has been launching DOS attacks on the WikiLeaks site.
The WikiLeaks web site has in turn been hosted on 300 mirror sites to stop the DOS attacks.
The US government has told Mastercard, Visa and Paypal to stop donations to WikiLeaks.
That has been seen as a transgression of our rights particularly for non US citizens.
A new group called Anonymous is now DOS attacking Mastercard, Visa and Paypal
but does not quite have enough computing power to succeed.
The scurilous arrest of Julian Assange has turned him from villain to hero in the eyes of many.
Much of the press has also turned against the governments critical of Assange and the politicians
are back pedalling.
What is interesting is that the world has changed. A new group Openleaks is starting and there
will be more. Governments may now truly have to be more open (or turn paranoid).
There are many interesting issues here. Is it acceptable for governments to engage in cyber
warfare ? To be fair China was the first : it looks like they were behind the attack on Google.
Are not the newspapers breaking the same laws by reporting the WikiLeaks data. So why aren't
the journalists and newspaper proprietors being arrested ? Why isn't Rupert Murdoch being
arrested ?
For the record, I do not agree with some things Wikileaks has done. But I do feel that we
need to fight for the freedom of the net, which is the best chance of maintaining personal
freedom and even democracy in the future.
A DOS attack is a denial of service attack. If 10,000 people tried to connect here at once,
it would become inaccessible to others. So the bad guys write a program like a virus, that
spreads to 1000s of other computers, but can be controlled by one person. At the right
time the controller tells all the remote virus, called a bot, short for robot, to start connecting
to a web site. This simulates a connection like a real user. The remote computer owner may have
little idea this is happening. Another good reason to have anti-virus software.

Re: Wikileaks Wants to Change World History....
the only blame I put on the US is the fact the US are such boyscouts that that creepy girlish looking army officer was a nobody and was able to access all that data.gee one of our one wont hurt us! total boyscouts.
if anything, the leaks make me like the US more as while embarresing for diplomats in the frankness of language it shows the US's actions pretty much mirroring its policy.
there were no real bombs at all. a tad ho hum if you ask me given all the nonsense conspiracy theorists always impy.what we need to do now is immediatly execute the effeminate looking dude who leaked his governments files to show putting lives in danger for no real benefit in the name of "internet freedom" wont be tolerated.

Sounds like someone hasn't actually read all 250,000 cables.glennjridge wrote:there were no real bombs at all
The reaction to Wikileaks is rather hilarious. It seems like only yesterday we were being told if we had nothing to hide, we had nothing to fear...
Re: Wikileaks Wants to Change World History....
I'm particularly enjoying the hypocrisy of some in the West. Only last week we were all told that Russia shouldn't have been awarded the 2018 World Cup because of the lack of press freedom and the murder of journalists. And what do we now see? The USA's more hilarious elements calling for the immediate execution of Assange. Rupert and co don't like it up 'em.

Re: Wikileaks Wants to Change World History....
had we complained about the execution of a russian army officer for a treasonable offense like putting out russian military secrets, you are right. but thats not the case.
killing an army officer who has sworn to protect their own country is different from some reporter who digs up something and reports it and it just so happens the tyrant head of state doesnt like an expose about their regime and decide to kill the journalist via nuclear powered pastry.

Your guilty wet dream Sarah Palin has called for Assange to be pursued like an Al-Qaeda leader:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... orist.html
So, she's not just complaining about army officers - she wants to persecute a journalist and strangle press freedom. Commendably Putinesque.

Oh most of us on here don't have a problem what other people think really. I think most of us hate the polcies of our own governments, even the Yanks.Parkol wrote:The problem with this forum, that if you write that you love women you would call homophobic. Going back over some of the comments on here I think it's funny when the extent of someone playing devil's advocate is to substitute one word for another. I mean that's just moron logic. (substitute moron for retard, French, or lolliopop) You see it's nonsensical and devious for its own sake. It's not at all thought provoking. Cheap semantics.
With regards to the wikileaks stuff, it's interesting how on one hand governments are criticising the info and on the other they're making out that they're trying to take it seriously. It's as if it's not the fault of other governments for continuing to be underhanded and dodgy but the people who leak the info. Kind of f*** up. Rather than penalise the leakers, governments should be improving relations instead of contributing to the paranoid, messed up, crap excuse for a world we're living in.
It's all Neil's fault.

governments should be improving relations ...oh yeah....all we are saying....is give peace a chance...... he's dead now.he took some bullets in the back from some guy who like some countrys arent operating on the same page as the lyrics of a gooey protest song or you prissy alternative internet dreamers.
back in the real world if even on a lower level you got into a police departments database and released or leaked info passed to you and made public info of police tactics, informants, official policy, deals etc etc .....your going to jail son.
nobody will care about your personal policy of freedom of information and thats for a reason.
