Even without the effects on the vocals it's a terrible version of the song.

Miserably bad. Recorded underwater, on tranquilizers. Depressing. And he of all people doesn't need digital help with singing.

His worst single to date. Perhaps it sounded better when he was smoking weed.

He has a new single out later this year called Every Other Lover In The World. Hopefully this will be better.

He's taken to Twitter to talk about a new song about the Royal wedding in April.
GEORGE MICHAEL is to make a musical tribute to Prince William and Kate Middleton ahead of the royal wedding, but doesn't think he should get an invite to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 29 April.

"What I plan to do is record [the song] and put it here on Twitter sometime in the next week," said the pop legend.

"I'll grab my piano player and bob's your uncle. A wedding pressie for them."

"I'm not angling for an invite!" Michael added to his Twitter followers.

"It'll be a camera-fest! I'm incredibly happy for them but can u imagine! Anyway they should [be] surrounded by people they love, not dodgy ex-con pop stars!"

Michael has asked his Twitter fans to come up with song ideas, but doesn't want the "pressie" to be one of his own tracks as "they are a bit too sad".

Michael also revealed that he owes William a song after refusing to perform for the Prince many years ago.

"I only ever met him twice, but he was such a nice kid," said Michael, well-known as a friend of William's mum, the late Princess Diana.

"Actually he asked me to sing!!! He was only eight! Lol And maybe Uncle Elton will play the piano?'

"It was a Xmas party at Kensington Palace, and believe it or not I'm too shy to sing to small numbers of people, so I said no.

"It was excruciating, his little Xmas smile disappeared, but the only people I knew in the room were Diana and Elton!

So I bloody said no to the future king of my country...oh the shame…..:)"

"I'll do the vocals at home... Come on boyz n girls...what song should it be? Oh and it can't be one of mine, they are all a bit too sad....no sniggering and agreeing, you at the back!"

Errk! Why did I give it a listen? It was really really dreadful indeed!

He says he'll maybe do a song for the royal yawn wedding.. he doesn't say anyone asked him to. Maybe I will do one too, then. Oh George. Just go make a fantastic record for grownups, I know you can, stop getting stoned and being such a mope.

He tweeted recently on Kate Bush's (bad, unnecessary) remake of "A Deeper Understanding", saying it was a prophetic and very good comment on modern alienation and Internet addiction. Which is true. I think George is stoned and on the Internet a lot. Such is modern life. I'd prefer he'd get his ass into a studio and sing, it's depressing to realize he's such a depressive couch potato. Oh well.
