The Bulls will win Game 5 against the Miami Heat, given the 13 point lead half way through the fourth.....erm, oh nvm
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way

That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]

If it comes down to ability then there is only one winner tonight, but there are, let's just say, a few frauds on that Barcelona team who, when the going gets tough, are not the types you'd want to stake your life on. If United get under the skin of Alves, Busquets, Mascherano, and Pedro they've got a great chance. By the same token, they'll need Vidic to keep his hands to himself and Rooney to keep his head. That'll be difficult if they can't get more than 35% of the ball...
The three magicians are stellar, but the goalkeeper Valdes is unreliable, Pique is susceptible to the odd blunder, and I doubt the moral courage of some of their team-mates to do what they should so: impose their superiority when it really matters. Villa isn't exactly in the form of his life - but class is permanent, so he might yet re-emerge with a goal.
I'm torn. It wouldn't shock me if Barca battered United tonight - United are no great shakes - but I have my doubts. If Villa isn't scoring, there are only so many magical slaloms you can depend on from Messi and Iniesta. If United score first, I'd strongly fancy them to have the courage to see it through. With Abidal and Puyol returning from serious illness and injury, there are too many ifs and buts about Barcelona to think it's going to be decided on ability alone. And if it comes down to guts, I know which side I'm backing...

Re: The betting thread
God sake. It's bad news when the footy season ends. My bets this week ;-
£10 M.O'Neill to West Ham - 20/1
£15 S.Allardyce to West Ham 20/1. Got this one up. £270 whoever gets the damn job. Traded fat Sam when he went to around 1/20 on Betfair.
£10 on Fat Benitez to Chelsea 50/1. No chance.
£50 Barcelona win and £50 in play Barca 2-2 United. It's an offer where i get £50 back if any loses.
£50 on Barca 0-0 United. Money back if either Messi or Rooney score.
If United win, i think it will be on pens or 4-3. It's going to be difficult to stop Barca scoring at least once.

When was Fat Sam 20/1? It looks like he's on his way for sure; I can't see his brand of football going down well there though.

Re: The betting thread
At the beginning on Betfair. Chris Hughton was favourite. Dave Jones, O'Neill and Curbishley were all up there as well. O'Neill went out to 66/1 the other day. I'd win more on him if he took the job but i can't see him dropping to the Championship.Patrick Bateman wrote:When was Fat Sam 20/1? Re: The betting thread
I've decided to see how far i can go with a £20 starting balance betting on in play odds of 1/20 or less. One or two bets a day. Going to start with a draw in the Cricket. Every win i get i'll put the full balance on the next selection

Re: The betting thread
I'd have had Huddersfield as strong favourites. Oops.

What game this is. Got 3-2 either way but there is too long to go. Really need to lay the bet but the price is too high at the moment because it looks like both teams will score with every attack.

Missed out on the trade in the Swansea game. Eight down for Sri Lanka. England were 50/1 at one point to win this.
