I love the fact that she is still around and making music, but this forthcoming album is destined to go the same route as Aerial. I'll buy it, play it three or four times and then put it on the shelf to gather dust while The Dreaming, Hounds Of Love and The Sensual World get regular airings.

Kate filming new project?
Twitter and Facebook have exploded this morning with what could very well be a leak about a new film project being directed by Kate. According to tweets from several actors involved in a project filming in London, a film to accompany a new version of Running up that Hill is under way, including an appearance by the actor Jude Law. We have no official details of this exciting news, and we should remember that Kate herself may not be too happy that this has leaked. One interesting theory flying around the social networks is that this may have something to do with the upcoming London Olympics…we await further updates. Thanks to Louise for Twitter links.

I agree with you that Kate is a great singer/songwriter. She's one of my all time favourite female singers along with Debbie Harry and Ella Fitzgerald. My mum used to listen to her music and so I know her from the beginning. I got 'Lionheart'
when I got my first record player, when I was around 10. Brings back memories. What I've
bought the least was 'The Red Shoes' which was OK but never ever like 'Hounds Of Love'
or 'The Dreaming' which I love until today!

If anything, "Aerial" surprised me, in what a slow-time-release capsule it is. Especially Disc 2. "King of the Mountain" was a great single, love it. The rest left me cold, it put it away before taking it out again.
Maybe it's because you can re-order tracks on your computer but: wow, it took me at least a year to fall in love with Aerial, especially Disc 2. But I did, and can't see how I didn't see it before. It rewards re-listening, it's impossible to "get" right at once. It unfolds in its own way. "Prelude/Prologue/Sunset/" and then especially "Nocturn/Aerial" together are deeply great, the best of Kate.

King Of The Mountain is absolutely fantastic, one of the best singles of the last 10 years imho
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Madonna 80s and most of 90s, she was my favourite by a mile, but I don't like her one bit now.
Dusty's class came out to see with the boys and her back catalogue and become my number 1 female artist.
Kate Bush I remember my mum playing her all the time a when was very young, I remember hating her by the time I was 14 only when I got in my 20s I realised the class she was, in a league of her own. And Running Up that Hill is my all time best song by any female, and she is my favourite female artist now.
Also special mention to kylie from 2000 to 2005 there was some really classy pop songs there and her sex appeal without being slutty was a delight to see in this day and age.

That reminds me- why didn't Dusty sing at the Olympics? Was she doing drugs with Bowie, another no-show? You really have to wonder about these flaky show-biz personalities.
