There was the biggets trick with demonstration against elections. Yes, there were protests and there were about 50 000 people, but Fox news (US tv company) showed reports with people who trow Molotov coctails to policmen!!! And, the funniest thing that was 4 december and there were palms and warm weather... No one throws Molotov to policemen and 4 december, in Moscow NO PALMS!!!. That was films from Greece protests and Fox news lied or they are not professional or they wanted to add more negative to show how anger Russians hate police and Putin and they grow palms in december in Moscow and protest with Molotov coctail. That report was very popular on all media channels and... I really doubt about US brains. Palms in Moscow - are madness, more madness - in December. US should learn Geography, History and... probably start to go to the school again, because it shows to their level of education...

It was after few guys raped small boys. Mothers of those children ask to kill pedophiles, but there is no death in Russia for the crime, so there were few accidents with small children and people ask to stop that. The worst thing was people who ripped came from Caucus or Asia and they had no moral. There was a big scandal after one guy hit a man who tried to rip his son. He hit him one time and killed. He was a boxer and people were anger at police after this boxer came to the prison for he defended his son. It was long, long story. Ok, after few accidents people asked our government to stop it. few days ago chemical castration began to be legal and it was will be for pedophiles. And of course after adult men ripped small children, our government said they will stop propaganda of homosexuality because of many accidents.
Saint-Petersburg gays didn't like it and complaint to E.U.

Well, the end of the story is... no body knows what propaganda of homosexuality is...
Some people said we will not see Army of Lovers, George Michael or Elton John, but that is bullshit. So this law is very odd, because no body understand where that limit where propaganda begins.... I think it's a really big crazy shit. Someone really stupid said that and few liked that.
The other side of that is... Government tried to calm people forall those pedophiles attacks and did that stupid law. Mothers are afraid to let children walking on the street, don't let them talk to Asian and Caucasian men and etc... I understand that, because our police didn't make our streets peaceful and problem is still exists.

All I can say is ... it's a really stupid law, but I understand all those parents who lost their children or worry about their sons.

Dear glennjridge, I am going to visit the US this summer and we can talk about it, also I have an american friend who went to Russia many times and he can tell you much more about Russia, women and etc. Stop watching CNN and other shit.))) I will be in Seattle and NY, probably in august, let's meet and I will answer all your questions.

My american friend came to Saint-Petersburg (last year) to visit my hometown and try to find a real woman, real love. Not my words, his that US woman are interested much more in career and money than... feelings. he couldn't find, but as he said Russian woman just BETTER than american.

About Putin and corruption. Yes, as I said I went to demonstration against him 2 days ago, but... I always try to see both sides of a problem. Yes, corruption, no democracy, but he did 2 VERY important things, trust me. He stopped the war in Cechnya - that's truth, in spite of all. That was really difficult, but he did that.

About gays... Stupid law, but nothing special, absolutely. No body's going to burn them, nobody want to take them away to Siberia.))) I think everything is fine.

About moving to the USA. It's hard to live here, in Russia, sometimes I really want to live in somewhere else, but I love my country, with all that shit, that happens last 1000 years))), wars, empires, kings, presidents and rivers of blood and corruption. But there's only one VERY, VERY important thing happens here - it's really interesting to live here (to survive sometimes). It would sound really weird, but it made me feel wonder - what's gonna be. I went to Paris and Prague, London and Barcelona and those cities impressed me, but I always miss my crazy country, really, I never wanted to move to Miami or... USA. Yes, everything is fine there, probably, but I can't live without my Russia. So, some girls find their husbands there - it's their choice.

My mother's friend who went to L.A. in 1996, she phoned to my mother and cried - she said: "These Americans are plastic, they always smile, but you will never understand what they really feel or think. It seems they live very good, privat buildings, cars, money, but they are empty inside, and it's wasn't worth to move there, because you get stability but loses souls".
She still lives there, she has an adult daughter and his husband is a engineer, but she STILL dreams to come back, but she can't because her daughter studies and works and her husband works and she works and it's hard to come back to the country and begin everything from zero, but they go what they got - American Dream.
