Re: Grace Jones
This rumour started back in the Summer with the producers in the press saying they wanted her following the Jubilee concert:

I'd love her to do it but it's one of those shows that can reveal too much, because no matter who you are eventually the image will shatter. Having said that I've seen Grace bumping and grinding wearing practically nothing barely hanging onto a cherry picker swigging wine and singing at the same time, and that was at a festival a few months ago, so maybe she's past the point of being too precious about her image. She was and still is an amazing live performer.

Re: Grace Jones
I agree, so many artists are losing their image and credibility by revealing too much of themselves. Either by doing shows like there or tweeting whatever's on their mind (Cher being the best-worst example). They don't need to be Garbo, but they should keep an air of mystery.
We already know Grace isn't the friendlies person, but she's an artist, and I don't think those who like her want to see her in such an environment and see it all unravel on tv.

I'm not sure if "we already know Grace isn't the friendliest person". I remember hearing a very positive story about her from a friend. Apparently in the 90s she gatecrashed a leather bar and insisted on getting behind the bar and serving everyone pints. Apparently they couldn't persuade her to just be a guest and she had a ball. And so did the punters. Just what I heard.

Re: Grace Jones
Grace isn't unfriendly, she's just a little bit crazy and does not believe in things like "time" or "commitments" or "clocks" or "contractual obligations". I honestly wonder how she manages to feed and bathe herself at this point. I mean, I love her, she's amazing, I am a fan. She's just so comically irresponsible. Back in the 90's I remember she'd be booked for some New Year's Eve show at some gay club, and if she showed at all, it would be at like, 7am when everyone had left and this confused her. Comically, this happened year after year for a while. Alway's New year's Eve. "Grace Jones at 12!" probably meant noon the next day. There's something Absolutely fabulous about her looniness, on the generous side. But hrrm, I dunno. Lightly mental perhaps.
