The one with the pink Range Rover who likes parking in disabled spots. It's got massive air bags.

What the hell is at all chav about Adele? Is her accent just too low-class for you? She's never been flash or blingy or vain, she grew up poor with a single mum, worked hard and wowed the world. She's singing at the Oscars tomorrow, what are YOU doing?

I could care less about her accent (I'm not British). I don't care that she grew up poor with a single mum. I think she's a bland, MOR singer - the next Dido - who sings boring songs whinging about being dumped by her boyfriend. Like Ego Music, the songs are all about me, me, me. The song Skyfall is, like the movie, mediocre, IMHO.Deschanel wrote:What the hell is at all chav about Adele? Is her accent just too low-class for you? As for the Oscars, your catty remark aside, I could care less. They've become a joke, using gimmicks to increase viewership that's been on the decline for years. I was born in 1976 and I could name every Best Picture winner and most nominees from the 1970's because they're stone cold classics that hold up after 40 years - Godfather 1 and 2, The Sting, Star Wars, French Connection, Jaws, Apocalypse Now, Rocky, Network, etc. What movies that have won Best Picture in the last decade will be hailed as classics forty years hence? Slumdog Millionaire? Crash? The Hurt Locker? The Artist? The Departed? Zzzzzzz....

The Departed was good enough, but The Hurt Locker, or Crash, or The Artist? Yawn!

Has Cheryl still got the tattoo on the back of her buttock that makes her look like she's had an unfortunate runny accident? Class.

Adele, unfortunately is guilty of what my mate calls ''Slitty wrist music'' much like Dido and Gabrielle, those songs are suited to the Bridget Jones' of this world. It's not her fault she's got so big as she has, but if she stopped eating so many pies and fizzy drinks.....Palpatine wrote:I could care less about her accent (I'm not British). Funny thing was when I read that her ex-BF wanted a share of the royalties because her songs were written about him!

That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long, long time.

I enjoyed it too. And I enjoyed seeing Adele sing last night, and accept an Oscar for co-writing "Skyfall", and being lovely and endearingly moved by this and charming many millions, and seeing pics of her from later hobnobbing with Barbra Streisand and Dame Shirley Bassey, who both sang her praises. That she returned. It was sweet to see her do so very well. America at least loves her more than ever. It was her night.
But, she's just a chav. Really, who does that slag think she is?
