The very annoying and pathetic thing about the bbc are the way they try and twist every question and point made by Farage, Erm, I don't think Romania are fearing British crime gangs taking over their cities somehow and it was interesting to know that for every 1 British person moving to Europe 4 move the other way, how can we continue to let this happen? Our high streets are already turning into foreign countries ffs.

I just find it hilarious how the likes of the BBC and Channel 4 now deem it okay to discuss the subject when for more than a decade, it was 'racist'. I'd love to see the whole bunch of them replaced by hordes of Romanian gypsies.

This is very off-topic, but you are from Bucharest, and I read this very interesting article in the NYTimes today. "The Death of a Countess in Exile". This lady, Ilona, was a Romanian countess who, after much uprising and hardship in her youth, came to America and never whispered a word that she was a Countess. To anyone. She worked hard, barely knowing English, but persisting and finding success in the financial field, with her smarts. She died at 73 last week, and absolutely no one had a clue about her origins. It's just such an interesting life and story. I don't know if you'd be interested, but I think it's a fascinating story!

First of all, thanks Deschanel for the wishes, you`ve always been such a nice guy.

I`m quite interested in such stories (I admit I`m a bit of a snob ), actually at the moment I`m re-reading the memoirs of Queen Marie of Romania - born Princess Marie of Edinburgh - what a fascinating woman she was, my country owes her so much. Romania used to have such a diverse, cosmopolitan, sophisticated elite before 1948. So many of them were filthy rich as well. Sadly, it was decimated or forced to emigrate - especially during the darkest Communist oppression years (1948 - 1955). The story is even more interesting since Countess Teleki comes from an illustrious (and controversial as well) family of the magical multiethnic province of Transylvania in Romania. What a good Hollywood film could develop from here, as the story is not over yet, some Telekis are back in Transylvania and even (successfully) claiming old castles they used to own across the province. Just Google the words "Teleki castel" and you`ll see them.

It`s a quite anachronic concept indeed - it takes luck for a really good member of them to appear (Queen Marie in my country was the best queen, but mother of the worst King as well...), still they are a damn good show sometimes!!
