New PSB cover - Here
Here it is.
I'm learning Logic Pro, and so did this as a test. Excuse my voice as I'm not the greatest singer. I've added a new riff and choir and I think it sounds OK.

Not bad. I had to put my mix to your song. I began to work on it, but couldn't finish.

at least you didn't try to sound like Neil. when doing PSB covers, i've noticed quite a few out there that actually try and sound like him(and fail). Neil has a unique voice and if someone were to do even a spot on impression, i still wouldn't like it.
Re: New PSB cover - Here
Intro is too long, quite good once it gets going, outro is good.
Hello my name is Neil Tennant and I'm Chris Lowe and we're of the Pet Shop Boys.

I enjoyed that, your singing was fine, loved the outro

Have to agree that the intro is a lil' long... otherwise, good cover, transforce!
And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung
It's in the music...

The way through the woods (Classical mix)
Here is another attempt at a PSB track, this time Neil is doing the vocals.

It's interesting. You really need to put the vocal into music, not over the arrangement, but right into mix. You have the same things on your previous tracks. Maybe you should watch some tutorials about mastering. There are a lot on YouTube. And add the reverberation very carefully, sometimes it sounds like all instruments sounds from different corners.transforce wrote:The way through the woods (Classical mix)

Best way to learn is by trying and getting feedback... I had a hard time taking the feedback (that wasn't positive) but I soon realized that it's better to get trashed then have a bunch of people saying "great" just to be kind (never ask your mothertransforce wrote:Thanks Parkol. Yes, nice to get an honest opinion. It's great when anyone genuinely likes something you do. I used to get the opposite too from my ex-wife who was disinterested about everything to do with my music. When I was contacted by a record company about releasing a song it was like "Oh that's nice, shall we go shopping now?" and then she never asked anything about it again until it was released, and then that was "Have WE made any money" LOL!
