Fairly uninspiring remixes, nothing beats the original track here.

The Flashmob mix reminds me of Tracey In My Room

I can't understand why there are no faster trance style remixes. Lange would have been a perfect choice for example. The remixes have slowed down the track and taken that sort of euphoric feel out of the song which is a great shame. I really expected better but more likely should know better in this day and age. Oh well.

Flashmob mix for me is the winner, with rektchordz coming second. The other mixes in my opinion are forgettable - includin the stuart price instrumental....

All these opinions will change on future listens no doubt...

Vocal (Ivan Gomez & Nacha Chapado Dub) - ACE
Vocal (Ivan Gomez & Nacha Chapado Mix) - Not quite as good, but still good
Vocal (Flashmob Instrumental) - Quite nice really
Vocal (Flashmob Remix) - Disjointed - yuk - vocal seems tacked on
Vocal (Rektchordz Mix) - Not a Rollo mix, although it perhaps thinks that it is
Vocal (Rektchordz Dub) - Yawn
Vocal (WaWa Extended Mix) - The most PSB like of the mixes?

And yes, I will buy these remixes if they're released, but I grabbed these files just in case some aren't released through normal channels.

Really hope that the Album Instrumental, or another Price mix, make it onto the CD single.

Nothing too special this time. I was hoping for a Stuart Price remix (apart from the instrumental).

If they put only three of these mixes on a CD/Download (is three the rule these days?) then I'd suggest:

Vocal (Flashmob Instrumental)
Vocal (WaWa Extended Mix)
Vocal (Ivan Gomez & Nacha Chapado Dub)

Those three mix/sequence/build together really well in that order.

If it's four, add as track 4:

Vocal (Rektchordz Mix)

Please DON'T share download links to open (obviously illegal) available material here on the forum!
I don't want to close the entire thing down, because some official want me to do that due to such a bloody open link to another fu*king d/l site!

Isn't there a chance that they will have other remixes on the single? These are just for DJ's?

PSB have been f'ing up most of their remixer selections for a long time now. I would have been happy with a Dawson mix, his stuff was all better than the respective originals.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

It took me me a while to warm to the original version but i love it now, it's pure uncomplicated euphoria.

After hearing the Fritz von Runte and WaWa mixes i was beginning to think the vocal could work anything but the rest of the remixes don't hit the spot for me at all, they are pleasant enough but the music doesn't marry well with the vocal.

It's the euphoria that's so potent in this track and that's why i still prefer the original but the Fritz and Wawa efforts do it justice.

I'd like to think there are people out there who could raise the bar, Stuart Price for example.

Greetings,

Call me crazy, but I'm not entirely certain that the "removed link" was illegal. The site seems to have been around far too long and to be focused just on mixes that are serviced to DJs, ala those which Pro/Motion issued a little while back. Do a search on "Did You See Me Coming?" if you're skeptical.

I understand it's a case of "safety first", but given the number of PSB mixes of Vocal and Axis (in high-res MP3, otherwise unavailable for sale) on that site, it might be worth a bit of a background check on the site's validity rather than remove all reference to it, because it WOULD be great to be able to share these openly amongst PSB fans if indeed it is legitimate. I'd suggest these tracks have been probably been provided by Kobalt themselves for promotional purposes... I think this might just be how you cost-effectively "service" DJs nowadays, particularly when so many seem to run off MP3 players and any promo CDRs DJs receive seem to get flogged on eBay.

Retro. :)

Alright, now that we've all heard the mixes (and I don't like any of them) now can we finally hear some info on the b-sides. The single EP is out in a month.
Here's hoping (as always) for The loving kind.

I would be curious to hear a demo or early/alternate version of Vocal that Neil spoke of that's more downbeat.
