Catalogue book re-issue?

#1 Post by drunk14 »

I've just found it on amazon.co.uk:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shop-Boys-Catal ... +catalogie

Sorry, if it's been mentioned before, but my reaction was like big WOW!!! :) I remember I was too young and I didn't have a proper connection with e-shopping world at the time of its first publication. I hope it's a trusty source and we get reissue. Unfortunately, it's probably just paperback :/ and nothing new is added to the content.
I've been around the world for a number of reasons. I've seen it all the change of seasons, and I, my lord, may I say nothing?

I wonder if there is any chance it has been updated? Despite this, it's well worth having if it's not in your collection. It is one of my most treasured items. Now I've said that I imagine my ex-wife will try and prise it from the hand of my twitching corpse ;)

I think it might be my favourite PSB item. It's just that good. Although hey tend to forget some artworks of later releases (Flamboyant promo, which was beautiful), the book is just too beautiful to look at.

They should update it (or rather, publish a second volume) but further in the future.

I've only just got hold of the original hardback. So far... a really good read... I was expecting it be almost pictures only, pleasantly surprised.

Pretty sure the content hasn't changed. Still mentions in the description that it celebrates the 20th anniversary of their first album.

Was it that long ago? I never bought it at the time though I remember HMV selling it for 8 quid at one point.

It must be updated. What's the point in a re-release if it's not been updated.

One of my most treasured items and a fantastic visual diary, I would love a sequal though....there is more than enough data to cover a new book.

I take it this book hasn't be re-released.

well, it will take quite some time, but after i'm done with further listening booklets.
i will attempt to digitize this book also.
(i've done other large format books before, from underworld, new order,
and currently working on depeche mode - monument).

this one has lots of images, and not as much text, so that will make
it somewhat easier.
--------------------------------------

it will be good to have it in a better format that is easier to read and look at.

i've had the book for ages, but i think i've only looked through it once, and i don't think
i've even read all the text. just skimmed through.

now is a good time to revisit it.

would be interesting to update it with all the singles and other releases since it came out also.

let me know if anyone want's to collaborate on that.

Book Depository has set their publication date to 30 December. It was changed from 31 May earlier this year. I tried to order it then but cancelled when the release was pushed back - again, I should add!
It says it's a reprint, so I guess nothing new in it.

I will wait to Place an order until after the release date, in case it is not correct this time either!

That date keeps changing for the past 2-3 years... It's not gonna happen, unfortunately.
