They haven't been in good form for the worldcup, so they haven't been able to play their usual game, that's it, simple. In order to play its game to be in good shape, form is required. If they aren't they just can't simply do it.

I am an Aussie who is not into soccer. But we are all pleased with our teams performance.
In a group with Spain and Holland and expected a massacer from Holland.

Yet our guys led a one stage before going down only 3-2. Well done lads.

I must say tho, I think soccer has a few problems. I watch Rugby League where
players are taking significant injuries yet keep playing. I watch soccer and all
these players roll around in agony when replay shows little or no contact.
Big fuss and penalties. You need more camera replays for the refs. Soccer
has been way too slow to adopt that.

And the corruption is out of hand. I think Europe and any other honest counties
should break from FIFA. Just the threat should work to at least get some change
of culture.

Lets play Welbeck, Henderson and Sterling near Gerrard to cover for his ageing legs. Welbeck is no winger and Sterling plays too far inside. Henderson isn't even an international player. Sturridge isn't a team player.

Rooney and Gerrard telling the players whats needed, yet never do it themselves.

Cashley Cole is our best defender and doesn't even get on the plane lol

Ross Barkeley is easily our best prospect and gets 15 minutes.

Uruguay are terrible but we made more mistakes than them and they had a footballer to punish us. We had players who think they are god, who just waltz around getting in each others way.

Thing is, England can still qualify. It's a pretty standard group and if they don't qualify out of this group, it's worse than 1994 when they didn't even qualify for the tournament.

I can't see how England's group can be called a standard group, Uruguay currently 7th and Italy 9th, I'd say Englands group is the hardest of the lot if I'm honest but that is no excuse for us qualifying as we played well enough against Italy to get something out of the game, not against Uruguay though in my opinion.

You say that England miss Ashley Cole, well I say they miss John Terry at the heart of the defense, Both the headed goals could possibly have been prevented with him there as he is fantastic in the air and a great organiser.

Anyway, too late now and it looks like England are out, Gerrard has to go, he's had his time and I think he's been pretty average this tournament just as Henderson has who is not a great midfielder. I do worry for England as there are no current natural replacements in central midfield which is a key position and we may struggle for a while now. Not too disappointed though, I don't expect anything from England anymore.

Englands group is standard really, mainly because there are no top teams in it and all four teams are pretty even. This has made it harder to get out of. None of the other three teams are any better than England really but they've done the job required.

Sadly, England deserve to go out.

They do miss John Terry, no argument but that's a decision out their hands. Ashley Cole was available. Woy didn't pick him because Leighton Baines takes a better freekick. It's nothing to do with playing time. I'm not buying that nonsense.

I still take Italy to get through and it wouldn't surprise me if England win their final game.

I am so happy I was sleeping and couldn\t watch Russia-Korea 1-1. Such a shame... tu-tu-tu... Can\t believe we will play good against Belgium? but I hope...

Russian Internet is going to destroy our team when they are back. Fans are not angry that Russia lost, fans are angry that a lot of money went to those losers and they play awful. Belgium plays much better and of course they deserved to win.
After lost to Finland in Olympics (ice hockey) we had a hope winning the wolrd cup in May (ice hockey) but our football is very, very, very bad. The worst thing is a lot of players who played there earn much more than other players in South America or Europe.

I really like Belgium team, against Russia it was quite easy to play, against Germany or Brazil - absolutely different. Russia probably plays the worst football in Brazil.

It's quite easy to watch, because you know that your team will lose, worse if you really believe you ccan win the cup (Brazil or Argentina) for example.
