I'd picked up on that too & wondered about it. But on listening to the interview again, he'd been saying that x2 didn't have any stationery as yet! Then he says that's the new album's title. I think Neil was just toying with us, or wanting to see how observant we were!!! Who knows? Time will tell. They often joke about possible album titles..."Stationary" sounds good but as the exact opposite of "Electric" it suggests a mid-tempo album, and it's a little too self-deprecating for commercial needs, like when they wanted to follow "Yes" with "No, Pet Shop Boys" 
"Station" or "Stations" would be great though.

Yes, there's stationery & stationary, but imo he was talking about envelopes & letterhead etc!!!
