I've been working through my DJ set tracklist and I have to admit it's been thrilling. Currently focusing on 37 tracks. Here are some fun facts about the setlist:

- I have at least 1 song from all albums represented
- Full-vocal remixes make up 95% of the set, the remaining 5% are "album versions" or "dubs"
- I'm using only mixes that were released digitally at some stage, since the sound quality is SO much better
- 2 tracks are duets
- The set is certainly engineered for the dance floor!

SO excited for this!!

you should create a spotify playlist so we can test it out

Hi Mark

I can't make it to Scotland for this but PLEASE can you stick it on your Soundcloud afterwards as I'm sure it will be AMAZING!!!

The balance between the more clubbier mixes and the more PSB-y will be interesting. My favourite remixes:

Minimal (Tocadisco Sundays at Space mix)
Can you forgive her? (MK bicycle dub)
Yesterday, when I was mad (Jam & Spoon mix)
So hard (red zone mix)
Sodom (trentemoller mix)
Before (Joey Negro mix)
A red letter day (Trouser Enthusiasts mix)

Would love to hear some of these.

Would love to hear the Go West Mings gone west second movement in the mix!
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

20 spaces left. There are some public tickets now on sale for Pet Shop Boys Promo, the film night. There will be some capacity for Remark's set beyond delegates too.

Wow these are all great suggestions -- I love Tocadisco's mix of Minimal, Red Zone mix of So hard, and of course TE's mix of A Red Letter day. I've opted for other versions of those tracks (M Factor mix, Extended Dance mix, and Expanded Single) all because those versions are more 'accessible' to the crowd (meaning, they have vocals and adhere more to the original). All that being said though, I'm definitely looking to create some post-Symposium celebratory PSB DJ mixes -- and some of these tracks might fit in VERY nicely...!!

Cool artwork ! Really looking forward to this. By the way I have a spare ticket for the film evening on 24th March as I booked one for my host in Edinburgh but he has already booked himself one. PM me if interested. I just want to recoup the face value. If stuck I might ask Edinburgh Filmhouse if they are prepared to refund!
EDIT: It's sorted now.

Are the presentations going to be recorded and put out on youtube someday perhaps?

Afternoon all! HAPPY POP KIDS DAY! Well in one week's time the Symposium will be in full swing in Edinburgh. I wanted to let you all know that the event organizers have created a Facebook Event page for the DJ set at the Wee Red Bar. You can confirm your attendance here: https://www.facebook.com/events/188026678238086/

My setlist has been finalized and over the weekend I'll be tweaking it to perfection ;) Looking forward to meeting some of you in person!

Enjoy your SUPER weekend, looks like we have many more ahead!
