ok I'm listening to it again and I am sure it sounds better. Also the songs are growing on me a lot. I got it from iTunes so I'm wondering if the files were updated because I am sure the quality is better now.

Sales are piss poor. They're at an all time low so i suspect the OCC will start fannying about with the rules.

Erasure did a live set on Radio 2 yesterday. A Little Respect sounded great, the new single still does nothing for me. Blue Savannah sounded great, too but Andy's changed the lyrics to Blue Shavannh Shong .No idea whats happened to his speech. The cover of Blondies Dreaming was absolutely atrocious though. They really need to stop doing acoustic songs. They arent very good at it.

The new album isnt too bad though.

I'm pleased for their fans that they've had a respectable chart position. It hardly matters to Vince and Andy anymore. Their money is made.

Those sales - overall in that chart - are really low. But then, they were low when Super made number 3 as well. There's no money in records anymore for the vast bulk of artists. Just as well Neil and Chris can still draw a crowd on the road. People don't seem to buy records anymore.

I went to see Erasure in Manchester yesterday and they were excellent - played 27 songs and Andy was on good form.
That said, the new album is woeful. I've played it many times now and I usually can pick out some highlights, but there simply aren't any. I loved 1995's Erasure album which was experimental and involved more lengthy but structured pieces. This album is lyrically poor and tuneless (much like Loveboat in 2000). Tomorrow's World and The Violet Flame rebooted the band in my eyes, but this could be the beginning of the end and I sincerely hope it is not.

A pity theyre not doing videos either. One fan has offered his services for free and it seems they still arent interested. Suppose if they deem the vids not good enough, they wont bother. A pity though. Hi Minerals

Its a shame whats happened to the music video. They're always nice to have. Well apart from Winner.

Its been a bit of a struggle but all sales are quite poor. They were boosted by a lot of fans buying a bundle of 3 different formats which counted as 3 sales. First week, First day - 8300. Next six days - 500 copies. Not sure what the second week was. They might get a boost from being the support act to fat dancer.

I think they should finally take notice of that guy who directs barn dancing videos and keeps begging them to direct one of theirs. Bound to be a smash - I think he's won 17 Oscars or something.

Will soon be seeing Erasure live for the first time supporting Robbie Williams at Dublin. Apparently starting at 7pm and Robbie starts at 8.45pm. Guess they might have a long set, or at least as long as PSB during Progress Live.
