I read recently that he was a co-signatory to a letter from musicians bemoaning Brexit and how it will damage music industry. After all the charts are cluttered with acts from the other 27 nations, and we may have to start listening to American acts, can you imagine that cultural sea change. The letter was co-ordinated by the charming Bob Geldof who prior to the vote was seen ridiculing fisherman whilst on a boat surrounded by braying Goldman Sachs employees, the morally superior organisation who chartered the vessel inbetween being investigated over various dubious practices and minimising their taxes. Johnny Marr also signed the letter but that’s to be expected as he’s stated that people who voted leave are not worth acknowledging.
