The heroic country that declared itself 'neutral' in both world wars but in WW2 was invaded by Germany anyway but did manage to defend itself for 4 days at least. And which country was it that the Dutch government and Royal family went to for refuge? Ahhh, Yes, you've guessed it, England! Now why would they have dared to ever do such a thing?
Some countries and it's people like to control their our destinies and believe in self-rule and full sovereignty, others are submissive and weak and like to follow the lead of others. Seems like you and your country have not learned the lessons from the past and you are now even using them against the UK which is incredibly sad and quite pathetic to be honest. Good luck under EU rule, I suppose there are some that need to be lead, that is certainly not not the case for the UK and maybe one day you will learn to respect that as difficult as that may be.

Sensible people can identify provocative language and appreciate the overall context of Brexit.
Eventually, time will tell what the consequences will be for the UK, deal or no-deal. Now back to everyday life.
And the consequences for the EU? or are you going to claim this only involves Britain? I'm sure you are well aware that Britain has a trade deficit with the rest of the EU so I think it is pretty clear that should the EU continue on its disgraceful path then it will hit a great many businesses there very hard indeed. Germany sells more cars to Britain than every other country in the world (except the USA). Not a small detail but let's pretend it is! Can anybody with an ounce of common sense claim it worthwhile and justifiable for all those businesses to suffer simply due to Britain making the absolutely scandalous decision to leave their 'club?' I would sincerely hope not, is it really difficult for us to all work together in a friendly and courteous manner? It would seem not, and it is all down to a power hungry organisation that is doing all it can to harm Britain and is willing to harm itself in the process. Pathetic!
No deal and no 'divorce' fee then we can become a low tax economy and blow the EU out of the water! That is what I now believe should happen and it is all down to Barnier and his cronies, make no doubt about that!

I think I understand some of the reasons many people voted to Leave… but in the last few years very little has occurred that suggests to me that Leaving the EU is a solution to any of them, especially Leaving in the manner that most of our politicians have chosen, or are pushing for. I really hope that Leaving doesn't just make things worse for too many people. That looks more and more like a forlorn hope though.
But please, the same few people who always turn this topic into a "hate off", just tone down the rhetoric a bit.

People voted to prevent further integration with the EU project. It is a federal project and aims to extinguish the nation states of it members. We voted to maintain independence in the world.
There are 50 countries in Europe, 27 are members of the EU, and another 145 countries in the world who are not members.

Why on earth are you judging an unreleased song, and one that's probably largely unwritten.

I respect Neil's opinion because he admits to be a federalist. He believes in elitist centralised government and the demolishment of nation states. I do not. That's all. We simply have a different opinion on the future of Europe. But calling a song Give Stupidity a Chance exposes his own sense of superiority and arrogance. Although I'm unsure why it being half-written is relevant, he's pleased enough with it to be telling everyone. In fact it just sounds bitchy.
