Poll ends soon on the most "Erasuresque" PSB single

#1 Post by geowayne »

Hey there! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last full day of my current poll, which asks you to pick the Pet Shop Boys single that is, in your opinion, the most "Erasuresque" -- that is, the most like Erasure. If you haven't voted yet, please take a moment to visit my "Commentary" site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and make your choice right there on my home page.

On Sunday I will end this poll, post the final results, and kick off a new survey for the week ahead.

Thanks to everyone who has already voted! And I hope you all have a great weekend!

Only comparison is from the mainstream because they are a synth duo which is a bit ignorant!

"Se a vida e", for the annoyingly happy vibe that's not their style at all.

That's a good idea except for the fact that, since I run a PSB website, I can't count on all that many of my site visitors being sufficiently familiar with specific Erasure songs to make such a choice. I felt that it was likely they might be sufficiently familiar with the "general" sound of Erasure to choose the most Erasure-ish PSB single, but the other way around might be pushing it.

If you ask me, the most "PSB-ish" Erasure album is I Say I Say I Say.

Thanks!
