1.What do I have to do? - Kylie Minogue (love the glam Bridget Bardo film star look, and bye-bye to teeny bopper Kylie)
2.Scream - Michael & Janet Jackson (futuristic, well filmed and shiny PVC pants - say no more!)
3.Express Yourself - Madonna (excellent homage to Metropolis, and VERY glam and sexy)
4.Can you forgive her? - PSB (one of the best CG videos of its time, very inventive, very different)
5.I Can't Help It - Bananarama (colourful, typical SAW and very girly. Siobhean in a cowboy hat. Brilliant)
all very classic and well produced music videos, despite ranging from 1988 - 1995 !

There are tonnes of brilliant vids out there..
Bjork, PSB, Madonna are some who always had some interesting vids..
but Gondry, Spike Jonez are guys who are consistent creatively in all their vids. my faves from top of my head would be
Bjork - Big Time Sensuality *at first i was just like..god who is she and what is she doing !!*
PSB - Heart *one of their best clips*
Madonna - Vogue *pure class, top choreography*
Daft Punk - Revolution 909 *genius..the story behind the tomato sauce*
Kylie - LAFS *everything was so modern about this..all those graphics and robotic moves*
Spice Girls - Wannabe *the whole one continous shot concept was really cool, but I wonder if it was shot in just one take ?!*

I like Radiohead or New Order videos – the ones which are basically more like arty short films than traditional music videos; usually the band is not even featured in them.
I think traditional music video is a spent art form. There's just not that many interesting things that can be done with bands playing their instruments or babes shaking their booties or whatever.
There still are creative directors out there – like the ones that Shopper mentioned – but finding the good videos takes so much effort, that I'm not really up for it anymore. I mean, MTV, tehy don't even show videos anymore – every time I open the channel I find myself looking at some kind of reality show, MTV awards gala "highlights" from three months ago or total garbage like Total Request live. And the videos they show are usually shown every 45 minute, so tehre's no point in watching MTV more than two hours every month.

01 Massive Attack, Protection: one continuous shot of a block where weird people do weird things, gravity isn't all that simple and Tracey Thorn runs the stairs.
02 Bjork, I miss you: history of animation in brief, living condoms instead of breasts, lots of sex and violence and all that done in the wor... I mean best possible taste. "Happy Tree Friends" weren't there first, you know.
03 Electronic, Disappointed: pure feast for the eyes. PSB hired Greenhalgh and he never ever touched the class he achieved with this (Paninaro 95 is close).
04 Bjork, Army of me: beautiful surrealism. Can't describe it really, it has to be seen.
05 Janet Jackson, Alright: looks like a scene from a high budget Hollywood musical about Thirties. Loads of dancers, action, humour and the song itself is brilliant, too

I couldn't really think of anything, but yeah Sweet Harmony by the Beloved is fab. I remember watching it when I was home alone so that no-one could see that I enjoyed nudity. Oh those days of sweet innocence.

Here is 5 that spring to mind, and come close to being my favourites:
1. Radiohead - 'Pyramid song' - A fairly unique looking wire-figure/object animation. Possibly the last guy left on a flooded earth decides to swim back to his old house and decides to live his last moments in his old armchair. The moment where he cuts his oxygen supply is very sad. The whole thing seems to suit the song perfectly.
2. Aphex Twin - 'Come to Daddy' - Chris Cunningham superimposes Richard D. James face to these hooligan kids that rampage round a high-rise council estate. They worship a god-like Richard that emerges from an old tv-set who terrorises a Granny in the process (the screaming part still makes me laugh). Not one of Aphex Twin's best compositions but the manic drum n' bass-ness seems to fit this video perfectly.
3. N.E.R.D - 'She likes to move' - I'm not usually into booty-shaking videos, but there is something about the combination of the music and the visual - possibly something to do with the lass from Mystique trying her hardest to dance as sexy as possible along with the quirky rhythm track supplied by N.E.R.D.
4. Röyksopp - 'Eple' - A fairly unique looking video of retro-looking picture postcards and 70s holiday snaps of various European resorts pasted together to create a landscape for the whole tune to flow through. Again, a great match of tune and visual.
5. Röyksopp - 'Poor Leno' - Another animation telling the fairly sad tale of a 9 year old Scandinavian human-like character that decides to escape from a zoo after missing his old freedom. He flees his old captors and chased down a mountain. They catch up with him and is taken back to the zoo.
