I love all of these Tennant/Lowe side projects!!! The production is set in the 80s so I wonder if the music will be 80s styled???

Exciting stuff.

One of the biggest hits in the 80s in India.

Did "Heart" charted well in India?
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Never heard this before. Interesting. Wonder if Tennant/Lowe is credited?

Nope. A lot of 80s songs were "recreated" in Bollywood movies, and never given credit or acknowledged.

For those interested, here are two more mentions of PSB songs reused in Bollywood

Hilarious.
However, I don't think I agree with this remark on "One more chance":
This theme that borrows generously from Pet Shop Boys' 1984 track (also famously voted as one of PSB's worst songs!).

I attended the public dress rehearsal yesterday afternoon and first performance last night.
The subject matter of this adaptation of love without boundaries of gender race and class is so relevant still in adressing prejudice.

No boundaries

Kiss me, caress me talk dirty for love,
Coming and going we can't get enough

More later,

There is another new song called Angelic thug.

There are several new pieces of instrumental music too.

Song List
Act 1

Johnny's Dark Side
Omar's Theme
Beautiful Laundrette
Angelic Thug (Instrumental)
Opportunities
West End Girls
Angelic Thug

Act 2

I Get Excited
Omar's Theme
Left to my own devices
Beautiful Laundrette Theme
Hit Music
In the night
Tonight is forever
Later tonight
Paninaro
No boundaries.

In the programme each letter of each title is in upper case. I've mucked around with the cases when typing this!

The new material has 2019 in brackets next to each title with the older material also indicating original dates.
The new tracks are all performed and produced by Pet Shop Boys and written by Tennant/ Lowe. Pete Gleadall is credited as the mixer in the new tracks with the exception (in the programme at least) of No Boundaries with no mixer credited.

The new tracks are all instrumental apart from Angelic Thug and No Boundaries of course and are mainly very short apart from the two new songs!
What's for supper?

Thanks for sharing. I wonder if either of these songs will appear on the album.
Woof.

I can't wait to hear that, but i hope it won't sound like a new cth. I really like their side project, especially potemkin, but i'm more interested in the new album.

I hadn’t realised that they were going to use back catalogue, as well as new material. Looking forward to seeing / hearing this. I actually wonder if the two new recordings may end up as Dreamland b sides given the potentially similar themes.
Woof.

The lyrics as printed in the programme for ''no boundaries''

Kiss me, caress me, talk dirty for love,
Coming and going, we can't get enough,
Sweaty and subtle we're in this for good,
Living a new life where love has no boundaries,
I'm not the same as you,
You're not the same as me,
But we both agree,
That love has no boundaries.

Do you understand me? I think that you do,
I'll give you the meaning right now in full view,
Coming and going, we can't get enough,
Living a new life where love has no boundaries,
It's the same for you,
As it is for me,
We don't disagree,
'Cause love has no boundaries.

If I am the question that has to be asked,
You are the answer spoken at last,
Coming and going like sea over sand,
We both understand that love has no boundaries,
I'm not the same as you,
You're not the same as me,
Anyone can see,
That love has no boundaries,
Love has no boundaries,
Love has no boundaries.
What's for supper?

Thanks for the info. Sandy. I'm more interested in this than the hits tour, their 'side projects' are where I find them at their freshest, as opposed to hearing Go West and Always On My Mind for the nth time. Different audience and market obviously but it's great when they go out of their comfort zone
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

How is the music? And the songs? Comparable to what?

Because it's sort of Bollywood-ish....I'd say pretty close to a 'Se a Vida e' sound. I love the sound of the song just before the interval.....which I believe may be Angelic thug!
Back to Trafalgar.........

Nice scoop.

What an incredibly productive year they've had. I believe there is a plan to release these songs as an album or EP. I presume it'll just be the new ones. Surprised the show includes West End Girls etc.
