I agree with all of these. Also, "I want to to wake-up" should have been a single.

A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Yes but as a downbeat remix, losing some of the orchestral oomph. Each to their own.

Agree with most of the choices here!

Unpopular opinion..... Breathing Space

To me, it's beautiful, Neil is almost whispering in your ear..... I'm sure there is a modern, mature audience for that track, but no idea how they'd find them through a "single" these days.

Well the following were actually planned as singles :

Happiness Is An Option
Closer To Heaven
Saturday Night Forever
It Always Comes As A Surprise
Discoteca
Pandemonium
The Sodom And Gomorrah Show
No Time For Tears
Positive Role Model
Burn

^^^ out of those known cancelled singles Pandemonium and It Always Comes As A Surprise seem to be the only lost opportunities for me. Although Saturday Night Forever would have been a better lead single for Bilingual.

I actually prefer the Richard X Remix to the album version, which would've made the perfect 12" mix to accompany an edited version of the album mix as a single release.

A different point of view
Why don’t we live together?
Up against it
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

There is only one really true lost single: King's Cross and we all know why...

Didn't Chris acknowledge that Why don't we was 'ace' and should've been a single. They should've released it in 1985 and put it's 12'' mix on Disco.
