The list of currently released b-sides since 2012's 1996-2009 Format is:
Glad All Over
I Cried For Us
A Certain "Je Ne Sais Quoi"
The Way Through The Woods (Long Version)
I Started A Joke
Hell
In His Imagination
Baby (2003 demo)
Listening
One Night
Inside
Entschuldigung!
Get It Online
No More Ballads
Odd Man Out
In Bits
One-Hit Wonder
The White Dress
Wiedersehen
A Cloud in a Box
The Dead Can Dance

Let's see how far off we are compared to the previous compilations.
Alternative is 31 tracks. Format is 38 tracks.
The list above is 21 tracks, so we have a while to go.
Left to my own devices (Super version) is a complete re-recording and should be no. 22 on this list.

You must have the Japanese version of Alternative with Girls and boys as the last track!
I agree and would say Fugitive (7”) needs to be added as track one: Neil even mooted in Literally that the next compilation would begin with the track.
Woof.

It would be weird starting with a Germany only b side but maybe that's preferable to starting with four cover versions!

I thought Format would start with Girls & Boys (Live), but can understand why it was left off (and am not that fussed really as it was on one of the Paninaro '95 CDs).
I agree that Agenda shouldn't count as that was a stand-alone EP.
Wonder what the 3rd instalment would be called (have always liked their idea of 'Besides' but I guess in this day and age that doesn't really make sense to a lot of people, only oldies like me lol).

Oh yes thanks, I'd forgotten about that. I'm aware that Japanese releases tend to have extra tracks. :)

Besides?
Flipside?
Digitally?
Option?
Style?
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

They missed a trick by not calling Alternative "Besides" and Discography "Asides".

Still time, of course.

They didn't exactly miss a trick. They'd always planned to call it Besides but then another band beat them to it the same year.

So, essentially, they missed a trick. Cool.

Talk Talk has an "Asides/Besides" 2-disc set.

The shame. Beaten to the punch by Talk Talk. Still, Discography was a suitably knowing title for a greatest hits. The only problem was Joe Pleb, never the most informed, hadn't a clue what it meant - or even how to pronounce it. I remember Gary Davies on BBC Radio 1 giving it his own unique twist.
