Yes, you can clearly see it in the photo of the back of the vinyl package, was posted here a while ago.

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

I wonder if Decide was actually written in 2016 before the referendum...

Great production!
Certainly one of their best banger songs of the recent past (and I'm a ballad lover).
Love the euphoric synths at the back end of the track.
Cant wait for the new album!

Funny enough the last time they did this was with The Dictator Decides.
It's something that about word 'decide'.

They just can't decide whether to put it into the lyrics or not. :mrgreen:
Will someone please say the unsayable? :lol:

The more I listen to the CYA remix, the more I miss the intensity the original builds up to. The remix has a great first half but then just sort of lingers around in the second half and ends. I would have loved if the remix took its time to build up to that intensity and then even surpass it.

I'm certain they recorded Inner Sanctum and they made a second song out of it.

~~~~~~~
"Decide"
It's time
It's time
To make up your mind
<Line 1: 'If you dare to' > ?
<Line 2: what does Chris say here?>
It's time
It's time
To make up your mind
Do we want to fight,
Or do we want to love?
Can't we just live together?
Do we want to stay,
Or do we want to run?
Could this dream love last forever?
It's time
To make up your mind
Do we want to sink,
Or do we want to swim?
The rain can't last forever
Do we want to die,
Or do we want to live?
Surely we belong together
It's never too late
Fight for love,
Or love to fight?
Oh, what have we done?
What have we done?
It's never too late
It's never too late
Fight for love,
Or love to fight?
Oh, what have we done?
What have we done?
Fight for love,
Or love to fight?
Oh, what have we done?
What have we done?
~~~~~~~

What an absolutely AMAZING song! God heavens, so many of the current b-sides are TOP notch, even compared to the lesser single material!

I have a question: what does Chris sing/'vocodes' in Line 1 and 2 above? (it is not mentioned in the lyrics on the official PSB site)

Scottydog wrote: Fri 13 Dec 2019, 9:32 am Absolutely brilliant. So surreal to listen to those lyrics first thing this morning while reading the news. I guess the country did decide 😳. Deliberate or not that was impeccable timing Boys!
The funny thing about this post is that, one very mild smiley aside, Scottydog did not offer an opinion about the election, except to comment on how surreal it was to listen to Decide the day after it.

There's a whole lot of other stuff I could say. But I'm not going to say it.
To quote Neil in another brilliant song. Well quite 😊. Did I say I’d prefer Corbyn? No. Anyhow my interest in either leader (zero) is of no consequence in this forum. I’m far more interested in the impeccable timing of this release. Couldn’t give a toss what the country decided but I still think it was surreal and I still think it’s a brilliant song.
If I thought what you’d think I wouldn’t even be here.

Nobody mentions that we didn't get an A side remix but a b side remix instead.
