Re: Monkey Business Official Video
Fabulous, fun video. Their best video since Together, I think.
Chris Lowe joining the dancing crowd was as unexpected as lovely.
Also, the radio edit doesn't do any justice to the song: it must be played in full craziness. Excited for tomorrow (well, tonight on Spotify).

Come on Petheads, all this arguing is close to pathetic!
I don't think that don't liking Drags makes you homophobic since bere we're all fans of a couple of gay men. On the other side everybody seem to overreact to everything that doesn't encunter his personal, own and egoistic taste. This is the video, there is a Drag Queen and a couple of gay sailors, as someone wrote this is the band we choose to like so don't make a drama out of this! If someone doean't like It, I think he has the right to politely express It without bering labeled as homophobic: don't act as victims. We're supposed to be on the same side.
Sorry, if this sounded somehow someway rude.

It's definitely a fun video, irrespective of the aesthetics. People dancing incl. Chris? Goes well with the mood and it might appeal to many people.
I'm surprised they finally made a lavish, six figure video after departing from EMI.

Extraordinary video. Now this is exactly what we / they needed! Several of us were recently debating in another thread about why the PSB abandoned video as a format and that if they took it seriously they could still do some amazing things — and this video is proof of that!! Imagine if we had this attention put towards The Pop Kids, Love is Bourgeois Construct, or a do-over of the Vocal video? SO GOOD.
And I agree that that the full version of Monkey Business is definitely better (why are the PSB even 'giving in' to radio edits these days?? It would be one thing if this track was originally 6 minutes but it's only 4? WTF). The song has completely grown on me and I can't stop listening to it....

Well that is bloody marvellous isn't it!
And Chris dancing for the first time since Domino dancing??
Shame it fade out so quickly. Needs a hi-hat close.
But it's such a bloody ace song. Look forward to the remixes. It's their first ever proper dance tune.

The video does an excellent attempt in capturing the club/dance feel. Really fun video.

Reminds me of Madge's 'Sorry' video. The guy in white with the 'tache is hawt AF.

Okay, that video has taken from being ambivalent about the song, to absolutely loving it!

It is very funny, especially at the end when the situation goes absolutely out of control. But I do agree that the dance routines in front of the camera are some kind of a cliché of several music videos.

Well what a joy to see Chris dancing, really hope he takes a hint and does that in the upcoming tour. They both looked like they enjoyed the process. Anyone think the sailors' get up was a nod to Chris' famous stripy-topped photo from the start of their career? And that the bald bloke dancing looks like a fat Neil.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing
