That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

Trilogy Top 5...I'm excluding b-sides.
1 Inside a Dream
2 Vocal
3 The Dictator Decides
4 Thursday
5 Happy People

Honorable Mentions: Into Thin Air, Hoping for a Miracle, I don't wanna, only the dark, monkey business, burn, Whisp

Trilogy Bottom 5 (much harder than I thought as I really only dislike the first 3)
1 Happiness
2 Pazzo
3 Shouting In The Evening
4 Wedding In Berlin
5 Sad Robot World

I dont want to rate this or that, its been the standard period for me same as any other, some good songs some not. but I am totally ready for some new person to take the helm.

Both lists show the tracks in alphabetical order:

6 best (two per album):
Burning the Heather
The Dictator Decides
Fluorescent
Hoping for a Miracle
Into Thin Air
Love is a Bourgeois Construct

came close:
Bolshy
Inner Sanctum
Say It To Me
Thursday
Twenty-Something

5 worst (or more like 5 most problematic):
Burn (so generic-sounding)
Happiness (annoying)
The Last to Die (I don't buy PSB albums to hear third-rate Springsteen songs)
Monkey Business (seems only half-completed)
Wedding in Berlin (Obnoxious beat; should have been a fan-club bonus or something like that)

I'm not sure which bonus songs Price produced. My favorites of the Electric Super Hotspot era are No More Ballads, An Open Mind, No Boundaries, and Decide.

If the Boys give to whatever producer a song like Shouting in the evening, to name one, what can you do ? Its easier task to have Vocal and you only have to throw some sounds and rythms..
Stuart is a great producer but I find unfair judging songwriting from production

I've always said that.at the end of the day the buck stops with the people writing the songs and thus the checks. theres nothing that poor guy could have done to head off that pile of dogshit being on the album except put enough avant garde coloring on it to fool people into thinking that piece of shit was high art.

For what it's worth, if the question was asking us "Which 5 songs did Stuart Price's production help make better, and which 5 songs were worsened by it?" then my Top 5 and Bottom 5 would be very different.

But I don't think that's the question... I think it's just a question of which recordings from the trilogy do we like most/least.

Retro. :)

I disagree. Listen to Vocal demo and you will notice the magic of Stuart Price work, elevating a random song to an epic theme that was able to close their concerts in a high note like it was any of their classics.
