Actually...It's quite good! Still holds up today.

They need to take 'The Man Who Has Everything' out of retirement and play it live.

Great album, still listen to it once every while and appreciate it is only available on the VeryRelentless 2CD. No need for a brickwalled remaster for me.

Do you know the difference between the two genders?
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|

It's strange it's not on Spotify.

Just saw the title of this thread - it's not very good..

Of course it can't sound like a contemporary record, they didn't have the technology back then as they do now for mastering and EQing it - it sounds a tiny bit muffled, but on a good system it's a proper banger.
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

The loud remaster sounds special. I made a movie ending out of track 2. Still sounds really good. You just need the louder mastered version to make it sound up to date and enjoyable or exciting. It's more comprehensive dreamy music in the clouds which is what you expected Very to be..... but Very was not that satisfying.

Well, they don’t want it to be on Spotify.

Hi everbody! Is Everyone ok here?
I think that Very and relentless, sonically are two albums that carry the weigth of their years.
I mean sonically. The sounds are really distinctive of an era, like Disco Music stuck in a precise decade.
In this case fewer years, I'd go for 1989-1994.

Dug Relentless out of the rack based on this thread ad it's even better than I remember. On a half decent system it sounds fantastic, nothing like the ridiculously heavily compressed stuff being released now. It doesn't need a remix, excellent just as is. Chris at his best.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

One (probably obvious) corollary to not not being available digitally is that you can’t Shazam any song from Relentless. This is the true fan’s album.

Great album. The 3 x 12" vinyl edition looks and sounds brilliant.

I do love Relentless. Mastering-wise, of course I’d like to see it remastered and repackaged (I’m a fan and love buying stuff) but if you’ve got a good CD player with good speakers it sounds great. At least as good as it did in 1993.

I really, really want that 3x 12” set, but I’m so fussy I won’t buy a tatty one. With only 500 pressed, it’s unlikely I’ll ever get hold of it.
Heaven is possible,
AFTER ALL.

I love Relentless and will never forget that around the time of release my uncle (not really a PSB fan) telling me he had heard some of the tracks in a local nightclub and couldn't believe it was them!

This album is fantastic, I am lucky enough to have it on vinyl and it is one of my favourite PSB items.

'The man who has everything' is my favourite track and I loved it when it was played during the Savoy theatre residency in 1997.

I'd like a remaster and see no reason why hey never put it on Further Listening. It isn't actually that hard to get hold of on CD for a fairly good price at the end of the day.

At the time it was one of the only PSB releases that my friends actually liked, or didn't mock me for at least!
