Sad day, Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk, one of the pioneers of electronic music has sadly died of cancer.

Never a huge fan of them directly, but they made all the music I love possible. I can’t honor Krafkwerk enough.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

I tried to like them "in their own right", but never managed to get too enthusiastic about their albums.
However, what they brought to music, and when they brought it, was an influence that was desperately needed in the cringy 70's, and it made everything thereafter possible.
