Shouldn't it be standard procedure to delete personal insults? Youre just a hypocrite. You didn't even bother to admonish anybody. Maybe it just means that you agree with the insults.

I don't agree with the use of insults and, as always, they shouldn't have been used. We do occasionally have to let things stand so that people can see what has been said and see why we have taken any applicable action. Accusations of censorship abound if too many edits or deletions happen.

As I've already said, you were happy to keep this going even after I'd asked for it to stop. You were posting contentious opinion in full knowledge of the kind of reaction you'd get, laughing in your replies, and if you were truly offended you'd have raised the issue at the time - days ago.

You weren't offended before, but now it's convenient ammunition to use against me as yours was the first post made after I'd specifically asked for it to stop. I'd have taken the same action if it were anyone else.

Greetings,

Apologies for butting in, but I think it's important to keep in mind the logistics of moderating a board.

If something is genuinely bad, a member can either:

- Report it
- Reply to it

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Staff can't be expected to selectively edit, and clean up after every tit-for-tat, cutting out and editing embedded quotes and the like. Replying to a dodgy post makes things unnecessarily complicated for everyone.

That said, it shouldn't be whether someone is "offended" that determines whether a post is OK... it should be whether it objectively adheres with the Terms of Service. "Offense" is a subjective matter and can be cynically weaponized in order to censor, silence and intimidate opponents. When things truly become subjective is when boards fall into anarchy - people need clarity on the rules, and consistency in their execution, like in any civilized society.

Retro. :)

Contentious opinion doesn't equal personal insults. That's why I am asking you to delete my account immediately incl. all my personal info. I no longer wanna be associated with this seedy environment.

Greetings Greendrake,
Greendrake wrote: Wed 13 May 2020, 1:34 am Beliefs and allegations aside, I am wondering how you see that hoax just technically possible. Is the overwhelming of hospitals and crematoriums just farce and masquerade? Are so the refrigerators for dead bodies? Have most of the world leaders conspired? Do all the doctors and scientists reporting specifics of how unusual this "flu" is, pharm giants developing a vaccine just brilliantly play their part in this hoax?
Not to answer for AliG, but there is a position in-between "it's all true" and "it's all fake".

Namely, that the virus itself is real, much of what goes on in relation to the virus is not necessarily as it is portrayed.
